Great stool
I got this stool for my mom. She was using a standard bar stool to see and reach over a building barrier to fish. Needless to say that stool was wood, leather and heavy. This one cam fully assembled, Easy to carry. She lives the wide seat. The footrest and the back rest. Very good buy

sturdy and not expensive
For a hundred bucks this is a great deal. It is heavy but so am I and I don't mind toting it into band gigs, which is the reason I bought it. The seat is a hard plastic but it is ergonomically shaped so it doesn't get uncomfortable. If it does, a light pad would be all you'd need. It folds up nicely, like a folding chair, though a little longer, and slides into my vehicle without using much room. I stand it on its side between a couple amps and it hardly uses any room. Good product, made to last.

Sincere Lifesaver
I had thought about getting a much cheaper version of this kind of folding barstool, and BOY AM I GLAD I DID NOT!! This version is the sturdiest folding chair I own. I have a very rare disease that has disabled me and prevents me from standing to cook or work my sales job, and this chair is so supportive and comfortable, while keeping me at a necessary standing height to use the counters/stovetop and make people not think I'm on break. I will say, I was a little confused how to open it at first: you open it slightly and then push down and inwards on the back of the seat. It adds TONS to the stability of the chair, I've just never seen one like that before so I thought it was backwards at first. It's a little bit hefty, but it stores nice and flat and it easy enough to travel with in my car. 5/5 stars, Would and already have recommended to several friends.

I Like This Chair
I purchased 2 chairs to place in my new kitchen island. The most important things I wanted in the island bar chairs is 1) Safety 2) Comfort 3) must be black (or dark) to go with my dark island counter top. Nothing is worse than sitting in an uncomfortable chair when talking with friends/family and who hasn't sat in a butt or back busting bar stool. These are very comfortable so guests/family can chat for hours while you cook or clean in the kitchen.Pros1. Plastic chair seat and chair back - Durable. Pet claw resistant. Kid proof. The molded plastic seat and metal legs make it very easy to clean/disinfect (spills, Corona/Flu/ virus, bacteria etc) if you are worried about germs) and spray down to get rid of bedbugs if you are unlucky enough to bring them back from your vacation/business trip. You cannot clean/disinfect a cloth seat/cloth back very easily and cloth stains. Wood is not so easy to clean either. Vinyl chair seats will inevitably dry out and crack (have stuffing poke out) if use cleaners on them and even if you don't and pets jumping up and down on vinyl will tear it. My cats like to sit/curl up and sleep on these wide chairs seats. (have 2 chairs).2. Wide seat. Hefty friends and family will like the wide comfortable seat. Anyone with arthritis in hips will appreciate the wide seat as it is easy to get in and off off. The wide seat makes it less likely that a small adult or child will fall off the chair as they have more time with a wider seat to maneuver to get down.3. Nice Footrest - even short adults and children can sit in the chair and use the footrest so their legs/feet don't just dangle down with nothing to set them on. If have very short legs, the foot rest can be used to climb to get to the seat as footrest is very sturdy metal.4. Very Sturdy. Hefty family and friends will not hesitate to sit on one. You won't have to worry about children climbing up into one and tipping it over. Short 7 year old boy tested and worked very well.NEUTRAL (depends on what you want)1. It is thicker when completely closed because where the top folds up is thicker than almost all models I looked at. This means it takes up more room to store. Not a problem if storage space is good or leaving open.2 The wide seat looks very wide when opened so chair is not not elegant looking..but it is not bad looking either. It is a work horse.I wanted to fold 2 chairs up and hang them horizontally across the back of the kitchen island when not in use. These chairs stand out too much to do that and are too big but I found an area close by to store them. I built a between the stud wall cabinet an arm's reach or so away as there was wall space in front of the 3" stud space that just barely held one chair using an old bi-fold door to close the space off 2 doors equals 2 between wall stud cabinets and 2 chair storage solved as they hang inside there instead.

solid folding chair
I'm a musician and wanted a chair like this for two reasons. 1. It's solidly built and its not going to make you feel like you'll lose your balance. It's pretty heavy. 2. It's taller than regular folding chairs. This is more a bar stool height, so be warned. If you're a short person and wanting to use the chair often, like I do, it may not work for you. I'm 5'10". I've used folding stool types as well and I always felt like the audience looked down at me. This chair is perfect in that regard. I'm up higher and feel confident, especially with the fold out foot rest. It puts the user in a nice upright position. That low back support works really well, catching the lumbar area of your back. I have back problems and this stool does help me quite nicely with that. I believe thats why they designed the low profile back on this chair and it works nicely. I read a review from a keyboard player saying he felt like he would tip forward due to his using foot pedals. The chair design collapses in a forward direction, so I can see why that might be an issue. Just sit back into the chair and its rock steady.I did not want to spend this much for a folding chair. But after using it for several gigs, I'm sold. I will never need to replace this, unless it gets stolen. It is made that well and after all is said and done, it was worth the money. My back is thankful after every gig.I hope this review helped.

Absolutely perfect
I had been looking for a stool type chair that folded for work. I have tried a couple but this is the most sturdy and comfortable chair I found. I love it.

Great portable chair
This chair is easy enough to fold, transport and carry, and it's sturdy. My husband is 285 pounds and 6'4" and this fits him very well. Most of the chairs we had considered that could support this weight were lower chairs, so I'm happy to have found a taller one that offered the needed support. We have been really happy with this chair.
