Really bad
I rarely write negative reviews, but this book was pretty bad. Sorry author, but I am an avid bream and catfish fisherman, and I recently moved to a home on a very large lake with a lot of bass, so I figured I'd better learn how to catch them. The book simply didn't offer much beyond what I think most intelligent people could think of on their own. A lot of obvious stuff, which was made worse by the excessive elaboration on those obvious points. It literally read (in my opinion) like a paper that a high school student had to meet a minimum word count on, leading to droning on and on about nothing. I don't feel like I picked up ANY useful information about bass fishing at all. Your mileage may vary, but I can't recommend this book.

Not helpful in any way
It is hard to understand why this work was ever published. The short summary is "fish how you want to." It offers no insight into bass behavior, habitat preferences and has no emphasis at all on techniques of any kind. It is nothing more than a glorified advertisement for the guide who wrote it.

Covered the basics well and didn’t miss much

Boring
Most of what he says is obvious and so general that it is of no use. You could have done better.

Basic information
This book will be a very good read to someone new to fishing. It is filled with information, but very basic information. Probably not an exciting read for someone that is already well versed in bass fishing.
