It looks a lot better in real life. I got the pink one to use for a timer during meditation.Only problem is my 30 Minute size I’ve timed it and it’s always 32 minutes. It’s not completely accurate but still extremely close.

I'm editing this review after being contacted by the owners. The product itself did not work as expected. Being that it was inexpensive to begin with and with the hassle of shipping, I ordered a different option elsewhere and wrote the prior scathing review. To be honest, I got a bad one from the bunch and felt the need to balance the other reviews with an honest opinion.In hindsight though, I should have contacted the company first, but like many consumers the $'s weren't important to me; instead, letting the public know seemed "righteous'. Small companies rely on us and can be damaged significantly through a handful of reviews. On the other hand, we consumers rely on each other too. So while I contend honesty is important, next time I'll contact the company first and give them a chance. In the end, I don't want the $16 back. I do want to let everyone know to feel safe going with this company because they will make it right.Rumor has it they have responded to some of the negative reviews and are moving to a new manufacturer to improve the consistency of quality.cheers.

I love it! My kids broke my glass one. This one is plastic and not easily breakable. Plus it's pretty!!

My dentist suggested getting a sand timer to help my son brush longer. It works, my kid brush longer because he loves watching the sand move to the other side when it’s flipped.

I bought on of these to time my meditations, also I really like watching the sand fall. It reminds me of the Bible verse “teach me to number my days so that I may gain a heart of wisdom” The plastic shell distorts the clarity of the seeing the sand fall. May not bother some but to me it did. I tried to get the plastic shell off by twisting and pulling but it’s pretty well on there. The timer was pretty accurate. 10 minutes 7 seconds. Not for me but might be for some

It is an hourglass, what is there to say? In my case, a ten minute glass. It is reasonably accurate but it is not a quartz or atomic timepiece. I remain curious, though, as to why different colors of sand cost different amounts of money.Be warned however, it is like a bad employee. It only works if watched.

I was sick of getting up and flipping the 15 minute timer in the sauna room so I bought my own. Great decision for me. Now I can just relax and enjoy the sauna. Solid purchase.
