Watson's a great name but I did have a defective battery after 5 months of owning it
I could tell you that Watson makes great products and I know this just from other people, but I'll tell you something I did have a problem with this battery that was seldom used and charged correctly in a Nikon charger for my legacy Nikon p510.so I had an interaction with tech support that I will call interesting but satisfactory and achieved the results of a manufacturer stating a return, I was a little surprised that they didn't want to get the product back and didn't thank me for sending the detailed photos that featured what seemed to be a battery that have compromised itself somewhere and could have actually gotten stuck in my camera if I was to have left it in there for an extended. Of time. I have the original factory battery and to vivitar brands that have not exhibited any issues for the nearly seven years of having those batteries operate although they may have lost their capability to be a sharp as they were day one I would never have expected something like this to happen and caution anyone to consider possibly not keeping their batteries in their cameras if they're not going to be used or what not for a. Of maybe one month as was the case for me because this Watson battery did swell up and it swelled up in my Nikon bag and I'm glad did not breach or leak its battery contents or worse ignite. So I'm not trying to stab at Watson because customer service was good although the one gentleman who specifically responded to me I detected some weird thing of sarcasm and maybe it's because he read something incorrectly and what I had told them, but all I know is I opened up my camera bag went to go replace one of the batteries that was low to take some more pictures and I discovered a battery that at first touch didn't fit in the camera and then quickly I examined it and saw that there was a damage to the upper right where the two contacts out of three are for my battery for this specific type for this specific review. Watson stood behind everything and had b&h video send me a battery and I received it and so far I'm going to tell you I will proceed with caution just to note the date of this review is May 18th and I bought my battery in October so it's under a year and I had this situation so one thing to also note is that for my camera the Nikon p510 if Watson proves to be really great then I can keep a very good functioning camera around but if it doesn't then I'm screwed and have to sell the camera and all the accessories ion that are specific for this camera. all the other brands out there kind of freaked me out there all this weird Chinese stuff that could probably be poor quality and is unsafe from what friends of mine have told me and I don't have time for that unfortunate series of circumstances. Sorry for the lengthy post but I think this really covers it and I'm glad I usually wait for a few weeks or a few months sometimes before posting reviews
