I can play my trumpet all day without disturbing my next-door neighbor and still have the same tune!!!Now I can play like MAYNARD FERGUSON ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

Works NEARLY as well as DW practice mute at half the size. A bit "stuffier" than DW as you might expect but an easy adjustment & consistent in all registers. As other reviewer pics show, fits completely within the bell so it takes up NO extra space in the case/bag. I'll be traveling with this from now on!

Well built and easy to insert into the bell of the trumpet (It just stay there, without falling).It is easier to blow than other mutes I have.It does not change the pitch, as far as I know and hear.Con: It is not as silent as other mutes I have,but I love it :-)

Quality of manufacture, and tone, seem just fine!

This mute is great! I’m a brass player but new to trumpet and wanted something that I could play in my apartment and not make my neighbors upset. This silencer does an incredible job of allowing me to actually play as long as I want with not a ton and vibrancy and noise! I’d say it’s about a 70% reduction in noise. It’s a got a cool jazzy whine to it and in the higher registers really comes on brightly.It does create some back pressure but the omature feels natural and has allowed me to practice at all times of the day.It’s a good looking mute that hasn’t broken down on the cork yet but I’ve only had it two weeks so I’ll update if it changes.

Thought it would tone down the loudness of the trumpet,it does not .it does not silence at all.disappointing
