I got this to use in the shop to gage epoxy temp for mixing colors and it works great. Took a mite to read instructions and figure it out but after that no complaints

I did not receive this for free or at a discounted price, this is my opinion and honest review.I’m not sure of it’s accuracy, it often fluctuates, the range is less than 3 degrees, that’s not a big deal for what I’m using it for (very basic grilling/cooking) the fluctuations may be extremely important to others,It is very easy to use, nicely lit display and very comfortable to hold. I like it and I would buy it again, I would give it as a gift with a warning of pay close attention because mine tend to fluctuate, not sure if that’s a defect, my last infrared no touch gun lasted 12 years, my old one never fluctuated and consistently gave the same reading for the same object, I could point at 12 different things, then randomly choose them again and always it was the same, sadly, Amazon no longer carries that brand/model, if they had, I’d certainly have purchased that again. Good luck with getting a stable and consistent readout.

Not 100% same temputure reading but close enough to reading on enail (never checked enail against anything else so who knows which is off)and what I will be using for. Also had no setting for titanium nail so had to play with it for awhile so that may be reason reading is slightly off. Very simple settings and easy to use.

I received the Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun MESTEK on time and undamaged.The product has very few reviews and not a single one mentions anything about accuracy. They do all mention how easy it is to use. All of the thermometer guns of this type are used the same way - pull the trigger and read the temperature from the screen. This isn't much of an endorsement for this product. If ease of use is all your looking for, temperature guns sell for under $20 everywhere. There's no need to spend the extra money here. Assuming the gun was accurate, I paid the extra money for the ambient temperature readings and the color screen which I thought might be easier to read outdoors. The gun isn't accurate in it's primary function, reading the temperature of an object, so all of the other features don't really matter.The readings I have taken, while following the instruction manual and adjusting the emissivity for the object, are pretty inaccurate. It's accurate enough to show ice as colder than a hot stove so I know it's doing "something". The ice comes in at about 49° and the red hot stove at about 180°. If you simply need to know whether a surface is generally cold or generally hot, it works. In this way, it works as well as if you were to hold your hand close to the object in question to feel the radiant heat or cold. If you need to know, with some precision, how hot or how cold, it's not so great. There's not much to miss while taking a proper reading as it's a pretty straightforward device. If you don't mind the inaccuracy for some reason, there are much cheaper devices that are probably just as inaccurate.

This is a great tool for checking my wheel bearings while traveling in my RV. Compact and Very accurate and easy to use and read.
