STURDY & WELL-MADE RAMP FOR PATIENTS
I am a full-time caregiver for a family member who is no longer ambulatory, and requires full-time use of a wheelchair. With that in mind and prior to his return home from a nursing home, I had to get a ramp in place. I looked locally, and on Amazon and the Internet. This ramp is by far, very high quality, made out of aluminum, with non-slip surface. It folds, and is portable. The ramp I purchased is ten feet long, and is perfect for the four stairs I have at my front door. This ramp weighs about 65 pounds, so the person who has to set this up should have either an assistant, or be strong enough to manage putting this ramp in place/unfolding/folding/removing/storing. Of course, if your requirements for a ramp require a shorter ramp, it will certainly weigh less than the one I have.When doing the research, I found that this ramp, available through Amazon.com, came in at approximately HALF THE PRICE of what I could have gotten locally. Good product and affordable. Rough on the edges and you easily gets scratches and pinched when picking it up and setting it up. Not as easy to set up because of the way it opens.
