I am definetly happy I purchased this book before I got my Sphynx kitten. I was encouraged to try the "Citikitty cat toilet training kit and "we" are having success! A lot of helpful information is presented.

Almost all a re-write of other more knowledgeable works by an obvious non-English speaker, non-Sphynx owner. Rubbish like "The other myth associated with Sphynx cats goes that the breed is hypoallergenic, meaning that the breed can not cause allergy because it has no hair. This is not true since there is nothing like a non-allergic cat. Like with any other cat breed, male Sphynx cats produce more allergen than females because of their high testosterone levels. This is not to say that female cats can’t cause allergy. In any case, the Sphynx breed is not that hairless. The breed exhibits extremely short hair that can The breed exhibits extremely short hair that can still cause allergy." clearly demonstrates the writer has no knowledge of cat allergies let alone Sphynx cats (most allergies are caused by reaction to cat dander, not fur)Do not waste your money on this auto-created crap -seek information from a breeder or a book written by a long term owner.

Great book, very informative for first time owners

interesting book but mainly concentrates on cats in america, would like one that is based more in england
