Triangle Bulbs T10371-5 (5 pack) - Q300T3/118MM 300W J Type Double Ended T3 Halogen Light Bulb, 118mm (5 Pack)

I had been using Fiet electric halogens and had noticed their bulbs weren't always consistent in quality especially those with higher wattage. Some would last a month, some half that. I use these in a security light for my back yard and if I am going to be changing them out every 2 to 4 weeks, why spend 7 bucks per bulb to do so? I haven't used these long enough to compare with Fiet hence the 4 stars assigned. In my experience, there are a lot of things manufactured today that don't last as long as they use to and light bulbs from a lot of companies have proven to be short lived. I just put a 60 watt Sylvania in my kitchen less than 2 weeks ago. It died yesterday. The Anyray halogens I tried for my front yard security lighting are always burning out. You can count on 2 weeks top with that brand. Hopefully Triangle will be a bit more reliable. I really wish I could announce the perfect long life bulb for all those people just like me who are tired of throwing away money on something that leaves them in the dark. Trouble is, I'm still looking and you guessed it, doing so in the dark. My question is, who supplies the bulbs for prison yards, airports and big mall parking lots and why can't the average consumer get access to bulbs of equal clarity and life??Update 3/5/2017: I'm still using these and have gotten some reasonable mileage out of this brand burning my deck light from dusk to dawn every night. And by reasonable I mean approximately 4 to 5 months per bulb on average. Very satisfied and I will be ordering these again. they are a bright white and light up my 45 x 50 Ft backyard very well even in some intensely inclement weather.

The product works and it is cheap when looking at comparable items for this model light. However, there are certain drawbacks with this one. Most important of all is the light intensity. It is no where near the intensity of light I am used to with the previous bulb. So, 300W light output is questionable. If you try to use it for dimming, you will get some noise. So, it is better to use it at full intensity which anyway is already less bright. Since I am not a photography person, this is okay for me. The bottom-line is that this is not a perfect replacement, but will be just enough for some people.

I can't believe how bad these bulbs are. I decided to try them to save money since we're on a tight budget but the moment you put these bulbs in you wonder where the light is. They are about half as bright as normal bulbs and in the 4 months that we've had it in the lamp, it's managed to get continually darker and darker in here over time. When I could no longer read anything clearly and decided it felt like we were living in a vampire cave, I finally decided to try another brand of bulbs that I had purchased before by Feit Electric. 3 bulbs for $8 is a little more expensive than the 5 for $7 we paid for these (including S/H) but well worth it in my opinion. I couldn't believe when I took the bulb out of the lamp, the glass tube was almost solid black with filth covering the entire inside! I took a picture to show what it looked like. No wonder it was getting darker each passing day! I feel sorry for the poor sick light bulb having to strain to produce light through the glass and the fact that it did actually produce SOME light for a few months gives it another star, but that's as far as I go. Buy another brand, it's just easier and will save you time.

All five bulbs arrived intact, no breakage in shipping. I tested each bulb and all worked just fine. I wanted to test the four I would be storing so that if I needed any replacements I could get them now. I am very happy with my purchase, so much cheaper than what I could get at a regular store, pls it was delivered right to me. Obviously at this point I don't know how long the bulbs last compared to other brands. Each bulb came in it's own little box, inside the box the bulb was in a tiny bubble wrap sleeve; all all five were wrapped together and placed in an amazon box with the big puffy air pillows.

Company stands behind the product. In my order 4 out of the 5 bulbs arrived with a broken filament. These are delicate bulbs and are susceptible to shipping problems. In my case there were obvious shipping issues. What's interesting is that I did not discover the broken filaments until a year after the bulbs were shipped to me. When they arrived I just put them on the shelf and it was a year latter before I needed to replace a bulb. It was then that I discovered the problems. Not an issue with eTopLighting. They issued a refund without any hassle. The bulb with an intact filament worked fine. Bottom line - very reasonably priced bulbs and a solid company supporting the product.

The light bulbs seem to work great, but I haven't used them that much so yet, so I'll have to wait to wait to comment on longevity. I could only give 4 stars however because one of the bulbs arrived dead; the individual box the held the one bulb was crushed, but the box that all bulbs arrived in had no damage, so I can only assume that the damage happened before shipping and was sent out anyway.

price is amazing. the 1st bulb quit working after a few min. so i threw it away and installed the 2nd bulb and its been working solid for months now. at this price i do not care if 1 or 2 are bad, as if you go to a big box store you can buy only 1 for this price vs getting 5 with this seller.

I purchased these lights on 3/23/2015 and they arrived on 3/30/2015. Since receiving the package of 5 light lights, I have used 4 lights as of today. I am not sure if the bulbs are 2000 hours, they only operate at night for a maximum of 10 hours. If they run ten hours for 80 days that is roughly 800 hours maximum. Not sure why they are not lasting longer. Price was good, however durability is questionable.
