This allowed me to connect my 2" hitch to use the Saris Freedom 2-bike hitch rack. This bolts on to the original 1.25" hitch receiver but needs the plastic hitch tite to lock into. Then the adapter bolts into the 2" hitch on the car with the large bolt that goes through the adapter and the stock hitch receiver. Good product! Quality part.

This is needed for my Saris bike rack. It seems a bit expensive for a pair of locks and a cable, but it does the job. This is only for the Saris rack as it is threaded to match the bike rack itself. It was easy to install. I am sure it is possible to cut the cable, but my objective is to make my bike a little bit harder to steal than the next car over so mine is skipped. Nothing can completely prevent theft.

This lock and cable compliment our Saris Freedom 2 Bike Hitch Rack. So easy to use and appears strong and durable. I'm sure someone that really wants to steel a bike could still do so, because nothing is likely stop the pro that really wants your bike! However, our bikes are not $500+ bikes, so likely not a target. And there really would need to be effort/planning to get at your bikes. Both locks are keyed the same, so 1 key fits both. There are 2 keys included with the set. Very happy with our purchase!

It’s a trade off, but this is way more sturdy than the original mount at the cost of not being quite as easy to take off. But hey we all leave our bike racks on our cars mostly full time anyway right? Cable lock with same key is a nice bonus.

Works just as expected. I tie this through my hitch, then around my bike(s) when I have them on the rack and have to leave them with my car. Pro tip--if you are going to drive with this wrapped around your bikes, make sure it's tight and not dragging on the ground. I didn't do a good job and got home with most of the outside covering stripped off from dragging on the highway. Oops!

Good quality and the lock works smoothly and quickly. Not quite enough cable for 2 bikes if you want to go through the wheels and "and the frames". Not a big deal really.

I use this to loop 4 bikes together on my rack and then put it in my bag to loop them together when we stop. Its easy to use, strong, keys and lock work great! I would recommend this with any bike rack!

As advertised- not required in addition to the EX 2 rack

Bought this for reasonable price. I like this specific item as it's the same brand as the rack I have. Made in the US and so I was more comfortable with the quality of the product. It also has a small bolt to bolt in place. I was not disappointed. Greet adapter and quality product.

This poor review is partly due to the product details amazon provides for the Saris Superclamp Ex 2 bike rack. I ordered the bike rack and this product at the same time. I would think spending $600 on a bike rack a bit more detail in the description would inform me that these two items are really not needed even though they are displayed on the Superclamp Ex page as "Customers who bought this item also bought....." and i fell for it! There is no need to buy these lock items because they come with the rack. Now i am trying to send them back to Rack Trendz Canada and i get to pay for shipping and a 20% restocking fee.I guess that's a lesson learned on my part.

Be careful for what you think you are buying. All the Saris items have the same picture (hitch receiver) but all the descriptions are different. The description for this item was Saris Locking Cable and Hitch Tite Combo and all the write-ups were for the cable and lock. My package came on time but it was the hitch receiver. Not happy at all. So just beware this item is only a hitch receiver.

Delivered in 3 days,locked my Saris Thelma 2 rack to my hitch and the cable is flexible and long enough to keep 2 bikes secure.This well madeproduct will give you lots of peace of mind.
