Doppio Cat Scratcher Lounge

I bought this to mitigate the throne war among my 3 cats for possession of an infinity type scratcher lounge. Within less than 12 hours of receiving it, all of the cats have abdicated their reigns on the previous and evidently inferior lounge for this prized Doppio Grande. Each time I walk into the royal room, a different cat is smugly and proudly sitting on top of the lounge, ready to defend the territory in any upcoming inevitable skirmish. My moggies love this thing!The scratching surface is quite robust and has already taken some ferocious nail sharpening with little evidence of battle wounds or erosion. Aesthetically, it looks much more modern and polished than the previous scratcher lounges that have dwelled in the land of my cats. While this has not eased the tensions and campaigns of each of my cats for ultimate victory in the throne wars, I am extremely pleased with the Doppio Grande and anticipate another purchase of Miglio products in the future.

Not very sturdy and shred quickly.

The plywood facing is not properly thought through. If the scratcher is placed NOT on a carpet then it bumps every time a cat jumps on it. The construction is unstable if placed on the smaller side. It jumps and bumps every time a cat touches the top edges. It frightens away cats. The inside plywood borders are higher than cardboard so a cat doesn't like to lie half inside half on the floor. Many times I saw my cats scratching the rib edge and feeling unpleasant when some claws scratch the plywood edge too. Some slivers split off. After 3 months of use the rib edge is serrated, with small burbs. In the end, if you dash into the scratcher barefoot in the darkness, it's pretty hard... I'm truly sorry I bought this product instead of PetFusion lounge, PetFusion was even cheaper that time. I chose Miglio because of its light weight, elegant look, and inside shelf. Yet my cats use only the top.

Great design and goes well with my home decor, but a little too light weight for my cats. It tilts in the opposite direction of where they jump on to it. I understand that t's hollow so that's probably why it's so light weight, but I think it could have been a bit bulkier to avoid toppling over.

Very fashionable product, I have received several compliments on it. The highly compressed cardboard does take longer to wear which is a good thing because my cat uses it every day. He doesn't lounge on it much or go inside but scratches at the sides mostly. There's so much more surface area he could be scratching. It's nice that I can flip it over when one side gets too worn.

I have a small bedroom, wanted something clean stylish furniture like than the regular scratch post. This looks great. The wood appear to be baltic birch ply a very clean tight-grained wood used in lots of furniture and cabinetry. The scratching part is the corrugated cardboard. Yes the kids will claw out particles as the work on shredding the scratcher. The kids love it, sometimes even lounging in it. Very happy with the looks, performance and construction,,, just wish was slightly less expensive since it is not going to last forever.

I bought this to replace a similar one that had been scratched to pieces. This one was even more popular than its predecessor. The cats like to lay side by side in the little openings, or lounge on the top. They took to it immediately! It was a little expensive for something made of corrugated cardboard, but my spoiled cats are worth it. It's very sturdy and should last a long time.

Very cool design. The cats love it. It's a bit overpriced and for that reason does not achieve the full 5 stars.
