Dansko Women's Sophie Sandal

I have just been wearing these around the house and I am pleased so far. I cannot give 5 stars yet because I am not certain that my pinky toe isn't squished. I'll update the rating when I am certain. These sandals definitely have the comfort and stability I am used to from Dansko. I am very cautious about the shoes I buy. I try to find shoes that are comfortable as well as cute, but that can be hard. Comfort and stability are my priority as years of running and doing hair have left my feet needing the support of a well made shoe. Thankfully, I can usually count on Dansko. I followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up. So glad I did! My normal size would have been too short. I ordered the brown color.

I'm a size 10. Not a large 10--Clark's 10s are often too big for me--but everyone else's 10s usually work great. According to all the charts, this means I'm a 41 European size, but then anyone who's a size 10 knows the charts are usually not good for our size. I do however own a bunch (4) of different pairs of Sophie sandals, all in a 41, because that's the biggest they usually come, and they fit okay, because they're adjustable and open toed. But this time I tried a 42, and it fits way way better. Love the pink sparkliness too. It has a little blue shimmer in it, so it looks lovely with denim. So, if you're a 10, you can probably do okay with a 41 in these, but if there are any, snap up a 42, because they'll work even better.

I ordered these from Amazon because my local Walking Store did not have them in my size and I desperately needed them for an event this weekend. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time and work well with my high arches and high instep.The only disappointment was that they were obviously slightly “pre-owned” with a spot on the insole which showed evidence of being scrubbed and soles that had been cleaned. I was desperate and didn’t want to return them, so didn’t request replacement or a discounted price.

Dansko Sophie is the only sandal I wear anymore since I discovered them. I am short and they give me height without the heel. I've amassed quite a collection over the years and I just ordered my 12th pair! I couldn't help myself, I had to have the leopard print. If that is not a testament to how comfortable they are then I don't know what is. They provide me with all day comfort with a wonderful arch support and the buckles are great for adjustability if your feet swell in the heat. For me they are far more comfortable than Clark's, Alegria or anything else. And they are cute as anything. I now have many different colors. Like I said they are all I wear. I wear a 7.5 and I always order the 38. I love these shoes!!!!!

I had a pair of dansko’s similar to these for over ten years. Without a doubt, the most comfortable pair of sandals I’ve ever owned, purchased from Born. These are not a disappointment. I am a 6.5 shoe size, but because of my width, I usually have to order up - sometimes all the way to an 8. Because these are adjustable, I got them in a 6.5, and they fit perfectly. The higher strap had to be taken to the last hole, but still comfortable, and with my experience the strap does give a little. All in all a wonderfully comfortable shoe, the kind you prefer wearing to wearing nothing at all. The blue color is just slightly less intense than shown, but still very pretty.

I was a little worried about ordering these shoes because the heel is a bit high for me. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes, so I was happily surprised when I was able to wear these pretty shoes all day (12+ hours) on the first day out of the box - no exaggeration - THE VERY FIRST DAY! My feet are very wide and tend to swell toward the end of the work day (I work at a desk, but I'm up and down all day running around the office), but the buckle opens and you can adjust the width for a perfect fit. I am so happy with these shoes - and they are very well made, so I will have them for a long time.

I purchased these shoes to wear as an alternative to my go-to Taos trophy sandals. These shoes are adjustable, so the width can easily be customized. I normally wear a US 10 and I am happy that I ordered the 10.5/11, since the length is just right. These shoes are comfortable to wear despite their 2 inch heel height. I'm not sure if I haven't broken in the shoes yet or if it is just the design, but I have noticed that my pinkie toes start to rub against the shoe after many hours of wear. I wouldn't wear these shoes to work all day, but I would definitely wear them to take the dogs out or to run a few errands.

I have worn the Dansko Stevie for the last few summers. The Sophie is the exact sane last, heel height and foodbed but with a different upper. I needed to go up a size from 38 to 39, but with feet of different sizes --like most of us-- the adjustability of the Sophie was paramount. I worried that my feet might slip out as there is no ankle strap: no worries, feet are secure and I can walk all day in these sandals as they are the most comfortable ever. I have the metallic stripe and the leopard print and everyone comments and likes them on me! I like them on me because I forget I am even wearing shoes ...

Had already returned a pair of these that were too small. Ordered a size up but still too small. Had to return. Ended up finding a pair in a retail store and bought them 1 size up from what I usually wear. Perfect fit. Very cute comfortable shoe. Bought these because I needed stiff soled shoes for foot issues but they are nice enough to wear even though issues are now resolved. I love them. Would rate 5 stars except for sizing.

This is my go-to shoe in summer for dashing around....I know, it's not sporty looking....you don't want to look sporty all the time!
