Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 7 Dark Blonde Hair Color, Pack of 3

Being a Demi-permanent dye, I didn’t expect it to do anything crazy. I had auburn/strawberry blonde hair with gold ends before and used the Dark Rose color to dilute the gold and keep some red. It gave it slight pink undertones, which I expected and really love. It’s a fun twist on my naturally reddish color hair. My roots weren’t affected too much, but again, it’s a demi dye so not a huge issue.I left it on the upper hair about 20 mins, worked it down to the middle for another 10, then left on my ends for about 5-10 mins as my ends were more porous to begin with. (From previous baby lights bleaching)This product is also extremely gentle. My hair wasn’t dried out much at all, which is shocking as I have fine hair that dries out easily. It kept the shine and softness. Will use again.

Temporary hair color that lasts two months for my hair. Does not damage hair as the permanent ones do (fine hair) and helped get blond steaks in my brown hair covered and in better condition. Also looks more natural than the permanent dyes…I think!!

Dark blonde still has red tones. I expected a more ashy color based on box. It’s not a horrible color and good for “demi” color, blended well.

Really really nice color! I used another Rose Gold hair color which came out too brassy on my light short hair; but this one came out beautifully and it is not in your face brassy at all. Love it.

I put this color over 4mo old hi lights and loLights and I actually love how well it blended everything together!

I’m getting straight to the point: are you thinking about changing your hair color? Then absolutely do not use this dye because it will be completely useless! It doesn’t matter if your hair should be lighter or darker—it just doesn’t work! I tried it twice, thinking maybe I did something wrong, but no—there’s no way. I’ve been dyeing my roots myself for 25 years, and I know hair dye! Anyone giving this product a good rating clearly has no idea about hair coloring. This was the worst and most useless product I’ve ever used! It’s not even about the money I spent—I’m upset because of the time and effort I wasted and the chemicals I applied to my hair for no reason. Stick to well-known brands, but never this one!

I used 3 bottles to color my waist-length hair. However, I have long gray strands on the sides of my head and this product did NOT cover the gray well. I will have to use a blonde color mousse to help with gray coverage.

My hair is naturally about this shade in the winter months and gets a lot of natural blonde highlights from sun bleaching during the summer. Every winter when the darker growth comes in I feel self conscious about the two toned look my hair has. I use this product to even out my hair. I love that it doesn’t damage my long hair and it fades out after about 30 washes. I use it 2 or 3 times during the winter months and let my hair do its thing in the summer months.
