VES SF-20000-01 Shutter Mount Exhaust Fan,115V,20"

It is impossible to tell from the Amazon pics, but this is a really well constructed assembly. All the parts appear to be very high quality, especially the outer shutter system. The motor housing is bolted to a thick aluminum frame, that is u believe tack welded together. The item is made in China (big letters on box) but appears to be craftsmanship quality. Lastly, it is really well protected inside shipping container.

A nice heavy duty fan, that does a great job of moving the air in hot tight places.. the vents move with the air pressure and produced no audible vibrations.. I do feel mounting the power switch with it's varible speeds onto the fan is a huge oversight.. these fans are promoted and sold as plug and play exhausts fans for your attic, but are you seriously supposed keep a ladder handy in case you want to change your speeds to accommodate the temperature?.. Or what if you're like me, someone with an extremely tight attic with no floor boards and insulation?.. keeping the fan on high and just using a thermostat plug shouldn't be the only option.. not for a fan at this price anyway.
