These claim to be good for 20,000 hours, but after just 7 months of use in sealed exterior garden fixtures they are failing and flicker on and off every second or two. After initial installation they looked and performed great, but the long life I expected out of these bulbs in my hard to reach fixtures has proven a massive disappointment.My previous halogen bulbs lasted more than three times as long.

It's way less wattage than the 300watt heater/Halogen I had before, but compromises the lumens to 60% and its more of a Light Green color temperature than the 2700k, warm white, I was looking for. I'm ordering a different one.

of 6 bulbs: after 7 months nightly use (~1700 hrs) 1 bulb burned out, 3 bulbs flicker. Amazon did refund my money, but these are duds.

Love these bulbs. Replaced crappy old halogen bulbs that blow out every other day in my worklights.Now ...no more blowouts.

This bulb is not a one-for-one replacement for a halogen bulb's light intensity. The light amount -- subjectively -- looks like half the full brightness of the replaced halogen bulb. It is important to understand this aspect of the product when replacing a halogen bulb.I found the emitted light to be of the same warm color (some might use the term "temperature") as the halogen bulb it replaced. That's a big positive in my book. The light is very easy on the eyes and, in my particular case, did not create dramatic shadows. Though, that is also a factor of the light fixture's design.In my limited experience with this LED light installed in my work light fixtures, illumination should be good between 1 - 6 feet from the work area. I have not tested any further.This LED light fit perfectly into the old halogen bulb sockets. My light fixture switch has two settings. Press once for dimmer light. Press a second time for full brightness. I pressed the switch twice to full brightness when turning on these LED lights.There was little-to-no heat emitted from the work light housing. After hours of operation, I could touch the housing. The burn risk reduction is another big positive for me.
