Reasonably accurate but not perfect
I've seen a few versions of this product on Amazon branded with different names and I assume this review applies to all of them. Most people are considering this because they are traveling somewhere and they might collect a few additional items along the way but don't want to get stuck with huge airline overweight fees when they check-in to return home.I decided to test my scale with three different weighted items on two other scales I already own.For test one I placed two bricks in a paper gift bag and weighed them on my 10b postal scale with the following results7.54 lbs (postal scale) vs 7.58 lbs (luggage scale) or a difference of +0.04 lbsFor test two I created a slightly OVERWEIGHT suitcase by filling a plastic equipment case with bricks so I could weigh on my bathroom scale56.2 lbs (bathroom scale) vs 56.00 lbs (luggage scale) or a difference of -0.20 lbsFor test three I created a slightly UNDERWEIGHT suitcase by filling a plastic equipment case with bricks so I could weigh on my bathroom scale48.7 lbs (bathroom scale) vs 48.08 lbs (luggage scale) or a difference of -0.62 lbsIn every case I weight and zero'd the scale a few times and took the greatest weight I observed. For me the most dangerous result is the luggage scale reading less then the airport scale for a slightly overweight package. It's my opinion that if you allow yourself a 1.5 lbs margin of error (twice the worst difference I saw) you will most likely be safe. If you are really trying to pack every single last ounce into your bag then this (or any other handheld scale) might not be for you.Remember that if you pack the scale in your checked luggage then you will be adding another .2 lbs (for the scale itself) to the bags total weight. Most domestic airlines allow 50lbs for international checked luggage, but verify with your carrier before you pack. A second bag is almost always less expensive then an overweight one.

Not good if you're shorter than 5'2" and have a heavy luggage
The scale did what's described, but I had a duffle bag I needed to weigh that was 45 pounds. I'm only 5'2", and due to the design of the bag and its handles, I'd have had to lift it up as far as the middle of my face in order to get the whole thing off the ground. For this reason, I'd not order again. I wasn't able to weight the luggage myself for this reason. (NOT because it was too heavy, but because I'd need both hands to lift it straight off the ground, and the luggage then reached my face when lifting it straight off the ground in order to clear the ground. I'm no weakling but wasn't able to lift this high enough by myself in order to get an accurate weight. If you've got someone taller to do the job (so it clears the ground when lifting absolutely straight up, then it would work fine.) It turns off automatically, which is a nice feature, and it came with the battery already installed.

Value for money, be careful while changing battery
It is worth the money and I have been using this for the last 2+ years.I travel frequently by air to far off places in long distance flights and use this every time I pack my check-in baggage. The readings shown are more or less accurate to what the airline counter weighs and so it is pretty reliable. In these 2+ years, I have replaced the battery once and using the device with the second battery now. While replacing the battery, I accidentally damaged the outer protective cover, this piece is very fragile, so be very careful while changing out batteries.Though I wouldn't blame the manufacturer completely for this flaw, it was also partly my mistake to not have stored the instruction manual on how to change battery, the mechanism and outer cover could have been made more robust.I am not a person who uses gadgets harshly and so this was a bit disappointing.Nevertheless, the battery and cover still are fit and this product works fine, except for few times it comes loose when I apply too much pressure while trying to weigh the check-in stroller luggage. All in all, it is a decent product and value for money and just be careful while changing batteries.

NICE FUNCTIONAL LUGGAGE SCALE AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE
The scale came in with battery installed and ready to go. I mention this because some reviews for other scales said that the battery went dead within a month after being used and put away. This scale had to be in transit for over 3 weeks and was probably on a shelf before that, so the battery doesn't appear to drain during storage. I tried it out and it said a bag was 26+ lbs. I weighed that same bag on a doctors office type balance beam scale and it measured 29+ lbs. Close enough. I figure that any weight this scale measures, I can add about 5 lbs to be safe. I was only going to give this 4 stars due to the slight inaccuracy, but decided that for this type of item, it is very well within expectations and the slight inaccuracy was just being too picky, so I went with the 5 stars. Just an FYI - it uses a CR2032 coin battery.

Just what I needed
Helps so you don't have to pay extra baggage fees and you can do this from home or hotel before you get to the airport. Nothing more pain in the butt to try and repack while in line at the airport.

I highly recommend this affordable
I bought this scale to weight my baggage for a recent overseas trip to Asia. I've had trouble with overweight baggage in the past, and since this was my first time using a portable luggage scale, I did leave room for 1.5 lb inaccuracy. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how close the weight measuremnt was to the actual baggage scale at check-in. I was able to transfer some items from my hand-carry to my check-in baggage because of this.I highly recommend this affordable, yet effective portable luggage scale to anyone who travels often. You will get so much use out of this and wish you had gotten one sooner!

It is quite easy to use and the pound versus kilogram function is ...
I have not had the chance to check the scale's reading against the weight showed by an airline but if it is at all close it will be well worth the money in avoiding over weight fees. It is quite easy to use and the pound versus kilogram function is nice. About the only complaint I would have is that it was not the easiest putting in the battery.
