Brushfire Records will ring in the holiday season with This Warm December - A Brushfire Holiday, Volume 2, to be released on CD and Vinyl. 25% of the profits from the album will go to Little Kids Rock, Silverlake Conservatory and a variety of other charities benefiting children's music education. In 2008, This Warm December - A Brushfire Holiday, Volume 1 was released and went on to sell over 50,000 copies and over 175,000 track downloads. The new 12-song album contains festive originals by Jack Johnson, G. Love, Matt Costa, ALO, Money Mark, Zach Gill, Paula Fuga and Neil Halstead. Seasonal classics, such as "Frosty The Snowman" by Zee Avi, "Jingle Bell Rock" by Rogue Wave and a cover of The Band's "Christmas Must Be Tonight" by Bahamas round out this holiday collection. The first single will be Jack Johnson's new track, "In The Morning".

Mellow Holidays
I bought volume 1 several years ago (and where I found Zee Avi) so Vol 2 was a natural add to my small amount of Christmas and Holiday music. Several of the songs are original which is great as the album truly expands one's collection, not just adding covers. Truly some nice songs for those that want a different sound than something by Mariah Carey or Trans Siberian Orchestra. In addition I am almost certain none of these songs are on the radio or a main stream channel that plays holiday music so that is a nice treat.Fits in great with a "She and Him Christmas, Peanuts, and the Grinch.

I love anything that features Jack Johnson, but this goes so far beyond that! Great album and happy to add it to the collection. Next year Vol. 3 in on my list!

Obviously you have to enjoy this type of music and I do. Very much. I know this is more than just Jack Johnson but Jack is the reason I purchased it. I've listened to this many many times since receiving it. I normally just leave it on repeat while at work and listen to it all day. I haven't gotten tired of it yet. :)

I listened to this album over and over this season. I created a playlist with some christmas favorites that included this and the first Brushfire holiday version. Based on amazon suggestions I also bought a She & Him Christmas that went perfectly with these other two albums. Highly Recommend!

Nice Variety.
This compilation is interesting and eclectic with a wide range of music. It has a nice collection of winter themed music as well as holiday songs.

ネットでは分かりませんが、クラフト色の紙ジャケットを手にした時、タイトル通り温かい気持ちになれそうな気がしました。予感は的中。フォークなのかカントリーなのか、山小屋で暖炉を囲んで歌っているようなアコースティックな演奏に心が和みます。ハワイ出身のシンガーソングライターJack Johnsonが主催するブラッシュファイアー・レコーズの所属アーティストたちによるホリデイ・アルバムですが、Jingle Bell Rockなど数曲を除き、ほとんどがオリジナル曲なのでクリスマスシーズン以外に聴いても良いかもしれません。
