Atalanta: The Race against Destiny [A Greek Myth] (Graphic Myths and Legends)

A great heroine
I had never heard of Atalanta before. Her story is just amazing. It has a Snow White quality to it, since she is abandoned in a forest, but she isn't abandoned by a stepmother. Instead, her own father abandoned her in the woods, according to tradition, because she could not be an heir to the throne. Then, she is raised by hunters and very soon she becomes famous all over Greece for being the fastest woman alive. There is also a fate that awaits her: that once she weds to a man, she will stop being herself. Atalanta tries to prvent this from happening, but as in all myths, divine intervention makes sure that fate takes its hand. So far, it's one of the best graphic adaptations I've read. Its graphics are also excellent.

I liked this story.
I liked the ending, even in spite of its ending. Plus, who can pass up an Atalanta story?
