Review "Readers will be reassured to discover that there is no disaster so big that it can't be remedied somehow. As with all the Katie Morag books, Hedderwick's watercolors convey the blustery island scenes, and both the charm and frustrations of such wild isolation."  —Publishers Weekly"A fourth winning book . . . The splendid visual detail that Hedderwick has brought to her other books continues here. . . Katie Morag's safe, loving world is a comfort and an inspiration."  —Kirkus Reviews Read more About the Author As well as creating children’s books Mairi Hedderwick writes and illustrates travel books for adults. As ususal..."Katie Morag" Delivers!!
I don't recall how I first began to purchase the Katie Morag series, but my oldest granddaughter, now nearly four, and I share the love for this series. As I was searching for additional books for Christmas to add to our collection I came across this mini treasures version. It is the perfect size for little ones. It's just as author Beatrix Potter intended for her young readers, just the right size to fit into their small hands. For me reading these books is a way to keep the Scottish tongue a familiar sound to my grands. The print is appropriate for the size and not a strain for a child, granny just needs to use her readers! The artwork is wonderful as well. While the larger versions will remain at Granny's "hoose" for all the grands to enjoy, this is perfect for the original Katie lover to own. I only wish I'd come across these books in all versions earlier!

When this was ordered we didn't realize that it was a mini version. My Mother in law is from Scotland and was looking forward to the book.

Katie Morag delivers the mail - go out and buy it now !
This wonderful book is all about a girl called Katie Morag who tries to deliver the mail. The setting is the tiny island of Struay. You'll never forget this book because of the beautiful illustrations of the island. Katie Morag has the most amazing grandma who is a farmer. The funniest part is when Katie slips into the water and drops the parcels. SPLASH !She gets into a muddle. What in the world will happen next ? Luckily Grannie Island helps her to sort out the problem because Katie is very confused. Everyone should read this amazing book !by Parrot Class, Riverely Primary

Katie Morag Delivers the Mail
Katie Morag delivers the Mail by Mairi Hedderwick is a wonderfully written and author illustrated wimsical look at life on an island off the Scottish coast. Its a family favorite for parents and children in our house. Its also the only book I know of where a grandmother fixes a tractor with out the slightest big deal being made of it. Its not PC just human, real and fun as are all the Katie Morag books. Also check out Katie Morag and the Two Grandmothers. I am a first time reviewer and felt I had to write because the previous reviewer unfairly gave it one star purely because the seller never delivered it so he'd never seen it.
