Some boys develop into
For many teenagers, getting their first bra as sorta right of passage for some , but for Jamie was different even special why he was that sorta boy who like to wear softer, almost androgynous feminine in appearance, you don't know if he is a she or vice a versa. He wanted no preferred to be girlish in nature, by there some want to know what is he or she. And it wasn't pleasant how they did it.

Batman
Warning plot revealed:Boy starts to wear girls clothes when he enters puberty. I could best describe him as a transsexual. Mother supports him in his transition and he gets caught at school wearing a bra. Why he would want a bra, I don't know because he isn't on hormones. No sex here. He develops friendships with girls, but most importantly he develops a relationship with a guy who saves him from some bullies. Maybe more will be shown if there is a second book.

Short and Sweet
*From the printed version*This story is about a mother who guides her son in the path of his love for feminine things. HIS FIRST BRA is short and sweet and feels very real narrated in the refreshing simultaneously child-like and nostalgic voice of the mother. It also creates an undercurrent of humour with her occasional self-references, mentions of her mother and her glee over "matching!" with her son. The description of the bullying scene in the mother's voice seems a little odd, but the scenes overall have a great flow to the next. There are also a few typos and Dave's surname is spelled inconsistently throughout the story. The illustrations are simple, lovely and the style fits well considering the tone of the tale. It's nothing big or exciting and lacks in overall plot, but is still a very entertaining read--has a charming quality to it.
