Fun, really read brainwaves, EXCELLENT customer service, BE CAREFULL TO KEEP LONGER! Way worth price.
They really do work. You can even focus on one feeling and they will react to them that way. Family loves watching and they laugh cause I say one thing and my ears imply another and they can see it happening. lol. I wish I could walk around with a mirror, but hearing them move and react to thoughts makes me smile. CON: They use 4 AAA batteries and don't last long-solution, use rechargeable batteries. Also very fragile.WARNING: when I wear these, my family loves to sneak up on me and scare me because I may not scream but my ears will perk in surprise. Similar results may occur. lolTake care of them, keep case AT ALL TIMES for long life and care.My family got another one of these for me 4 years ago, but I was abroad and couldn't play with them till I returned to US year later. I guess I wasn't careful enough because they broke after only a few times out of box (they are very fragile but WAY WORTH IT!!!). I contacted company to see about refurbrushing/recycling, because they just seem so high tech and a waste to just throw away. Instead they offered me discount. At the time I couldn't buy, but they were cool and allowed the offer to remain till I could, which I got now. Its a good fun toy, be gentle with it, READ WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS-they are only two cards with pictures so read, avoid physical contact to ear motors, don't use in high humidity, you will love.

Amazing
They're really cool, I made my own realistic ears to put on them and they really add a realistic touch to my cosplay.I hid them under my own wig by cutting a hole where the ears are, make sure it's big enough or it might damage the ears. If the wigs thick it'll hide right under, make sure to put the sticker on the button. I also sewed fabric around the head band to help with the soreness from wearing them. The engines make a sound, but I don't mind. One more thing, make sure to use the strap or else it'll slide or possibly fall off. Sadly I can't wear this with my real hair because it gets messed up, but I still love it.

Good Fun
I purchased these for Halloween last year. They are great for surprising people. Many people were surprised when they would twitch. I managed to scare a few of my professors and peers when I turned them on in class. The twitching isn't quite what I expected. The range that the ears move is not quite what a real cat's range of movement is, but it is pretty close. When the ears are on, you can feel and hear them moving. It may sound loud to you, but your friends shouldn't hear the motors at all.The headset is a little tight across the head and the forehead sensor is supposed to press against your head and that can be a bit of an annoyance if it gets bumped a while into wearing the headset. The ear clip sensor is similar to a clip on earring so you shouldn't mess with it after you have it clipped on until you are ready to take it off. If you mess with the clip before you plan to take it off, it could hurt a lot when you reattach the clip.Be sure to buy good quality batteries for the headset. It takes four AAA batteries and can quickly drain low quality batteries or batteries meant for low drain uses. The better the batteries the longer the fun can go on uninterrupted! Also, if you want to keep your new headset working optimally for longer, remember to remove the batteries when not in use.The head band can be hidden under your hair if you want to hide it. The power box is not as easily hidden. When the headset is turned on, there should be a blue light glowing on the power box. The light will start blinking if the battery is low.Overall, a great buy, but remember to use good quality batteries, and take them off for a while every so often if you are going to wear them for several hours.

Ruined Santa for my Daughter
I wish I could give this product negative stars. I read that this was a very "delicate" device, but ordered it anyway because it was on my child's Santa list. When she first put them on, Christmas morning, they looked cool and made interesting movements. However, the ear clip broke just a few minutes later as she tried them on for a second time and my wife and I watched.. She did nothing wrong. Just a very shabby product. This was a gift from "Santa" and now my daughter doesn't understand why Santa would send her a broken toy. Just terrible. Please don't buy unless you collect trash.

Technically Good, But Fragile
A bit fiddly to set up at first -- the forehead sensor has to be pressed firmly against your skin -- but it worked beautifully. It would be a five=star item, but the version I got broke after the first day of use, the ear clip (used to provide a baseline so the system can filter out electrical "noise" from the skin) snapping clean through the hinge. Blinq is going to refund my money, but it's still disappointing, especially for an item that worked so well for the short time it was intact.Addendum: Having received another set from Neurosky themselves, have upgraded to five stars. I don't know what happened with the first set (though I suspect my 11-year-old nephew), but the replacement is working beautifully. Goes through batteries quickly, but that's normal for the motor size and power involved.

Fantastic idea, uncomfortable design, weak motors.
I really like these ears but there's a few things about them I don't like. First, they squeeze my head like a vice. They are TOOO TIGHT!! Not only that, but the clip that goes on the ear pinches so hard it leaves a bruise. It's terrible and I can't wear them as long as I'd like to.They are also a bit glitchy and sometimes won't calibrate. They just do the calibration forever until you give up and turn them off.Lastly, when I'm on my back laying down or even reclining, if they'll even stay on my head, they make a loud sound like they're having a hard time fighting gravity. The motors are weak, too weak, and pretty loud. The loudness doesn't bother me too badly but it can be distracting.I think they're so neat and I really want to wear them all the time! But they give me such migraines I can't. :( Please fix this!
