Sticks out 1.5 inches
My new laptop (a Dell Latitude 3400) has all the ports on the sides. I figured that some L-adapters would get the tangle of cords pointed to the back of my desk with minimum fuss. Since the ethernet port is on the left side, I needed this Right-Angled adapter. The pictures don't really give a sense of the size. This adapter is not small. When installed in the port, it sticks a full 1.5" (3.7 cm) out from the side of the laptop. It's 3/4" (1.8 cm) thick and about the same high. Your ethernet cable will run about an inch away from the side of the computer. That's good if your next port back (HDMI in my case) has a small-enough right-angle adapter to fit within the 1" gap. It's not so great if you're trying to use this adapter to make a controlled turn from a wall.

DOes what it says
I just wish it would be closer to the wall. Trying right angle adapter for behind furniture. It's better the the cable sticking straight out.
