Works Great
I used my new Bissel ProHeat 2X carpet cleaner for the first time yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. First off. It was packaged securely and was very easy to assemble. Only 2-3 easy steps if I recall (I put it together 2 weeks ago). Only took about 5 minutes to assemble. The machine itself seems very well made and sturdy. The handle is aluminum which I feel is a plus as I have had 2-3 carpet sweepers in the past in which the handle eventually broke. This will not get used as much as a sweeper but I was happy to see that the handle is aluminum and not all plastic like the conventional carpet sweepers I've used, and broken, in the past. The machine is very easy to operate with very few settings. You basically fill the tank with hot water and some cleaning solution (2 samples provided), set the cleaner to the preferred cleaning mode (I chose the "Max Clean" mode) and off you go. The machine appears to have very good suction power. I tend to "over-do" things a little and applied a little extra water/cleaning solution to some high traffic areas. The vacuum sucked up the dirty water really well and the carpet felt only a little damp. You can see the water drawing up from the nozzle. Needless to say I was a bit surprised at how dirty the water was in the dirty water tank. I had no idea that my carpet was that dirty.... and I've been told that "my house is always so clean." I live alone, I have a dog that does not shed much at all, and the carpets are in a place that most traffic goes through hardwood floors before reaching the carpet... so most dirt is "knocked off" by the time it reaches the carpet. I assumed that my carpets were pretty clean. I vacuumed the carpets really good before using this carpet cleaner. The machine kept pulling up small clods of dirt/dog hair/clothing particles/carpet fibers that must have been worked down into the carpet. I thought this was very impressive.... although I did have to stop and clean the machine a few times so that I would get the maximum performance from the vacuum... but to see what it pulled out of the carpet... it was worth the little effort it took to clean the nozzle and the brush rolls. I always thought the sweeper got all of this sort of stuff but apparently these things get ground down into the carpet over time. My carpets look brand new. All in all this was very easy to set up, operate and clean up when finished. You'll be amazed at the dirt you pull out of your carpets... I know I was... and I feel much better about how clean they are today. I'll be sure to use the machine occasionally to stay on top of the dirt and because it was fun to use. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the dirtiest I would say that my carpets were around a 5... and the dirt I got out was amazing. So... some touch-ups once in a while will be a big help and there is an Express Clean mode just for that purpose . I highly recommend this carpet scrubber.

A Very Happy Customer
I purchased this Bissell carpet cleaner after doing a lot of research on it and it's competitors. This carpet cleaner has been very easy to use and has done a very good job at cleaning the stains, dirt, and sand out of my carpets. Bissell also make almost a dozen different cleaning solutions for these upright carpet cleaners so there are quite a few options for you depending on your situation: pet stains, antibacterial, deep cleaning, cleaning+Febreeze, etc. It has also been surprisingly good at pulling most of the water and solution back out of the carpets so as not to damage the carpet backing or the subfloors underneath. From my experiences using this unit, the 1 gallon clean water tank seems to be enough to clean 100 to 125 square feet on the Deep Cleaning mode. The hose attachment is also very useful, but it seems to be a little short and stiff to comfortably do a lot of stairs, but it may begin to stretch easier after it has been broken in and used more. I have personally really enjoyed using this unit and have heard similar things from friends that I have let borrow this unit. The main cons that I have run into with this unit have been with the hose length, the suction head, and cleaning the machine. - First, as I mentioned above, the included hose attachment seems to be a little short and would be more comfortable to use if it were maybe 2 or 3 feet longer. - Second, the suction head on the front of the unit does seem to occasionally build up clogs of hair and carpet fibers depending on the carpet type that you have. After removing the suction head from the machine, it is fairly easily to clean out the clogs either by running water through the suction head or by using the included tool in the accessory pouch, but it is a concern I thought I should mention. - Third, it is hard to clean the hair and dirt out of around the scrub brushes. Once you finish cleaning your carpets, it is a good idea to clean the machine to flush out extra chemical and to be able to store the unit, but this is not a trivial endeavor with this unit. The best option I have found so far has been to essentially drown the scrub brushes in water while they are spinning to clean out all of the hair and dirt. I've found the best way to do this is to detach to suction head and to place the unit in a bathtub with at most about 1 inches of water to flush out any hair or dirt left in and around the scrub brushes. Overall, I really do like this carpet cleaning and have had very good results with it. I even know of a family that purchased their own unit after borrowing my and seeing how well it worked at removing the pet stains in their house. I have been very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend it!

Good machine, but easy to break
This machine does normal carpet cleaning very well. We have an extremely shed-y Australian shepherd and a huge expanse of beige carpet (which we inherited from the previous owner). I vacuum it twice, then clean it with this and it's generally fantastic - easy, fast, not too onerous. Dog hair does get into the bristles and into the innards of the machine. The provided cleaning tool works quite well with a little practice. The biggest failure is on stairs - we have 2.5 flights, all in that same damn beige carpet. There's a hose and attachment you can connect, which will let you spray cleaning solution on the carpet, scrub it, and then vacuum the solution back up (same principle as the main device). This works OK, but it's a ton of work - you really have to scrub. So I've tried using the main machine to do the same job. Still a lot of work lifting the machine from stair to stair and holding it level while cleaning. That technique does work, and better than the attachment. HOWEVER, after just 3-4 times doing it that way, the joint that holds the machine upright broke, so now it won't stay upright - just falls over as soon as you let it go. This is due to the machine being made mainly of somewhat flimsy plastic parts. The wheels, too, are no longer firmly attached, and this is after a total of maybe 6 full cleanings. It's still under warranty so it'll be fixed free, but CAUTION to future owners that this machine is more delicate than it ought to be. Stronger parts, including metal wheel hubs and a metal joint to keep it upright, would make it better.

I’ve tried a number of carpet cleaners but this one really gets rid of the dirt. I have four dogs and some of them have accidents now and again so this has been a life saver. Really good suction power. I really really wished that tank for dirty water collector was a little bigger and it would be perfect.

This is unacceptable. You do highlight that it has an American Adaptor and that it will not work in Australia without a convertor. Please note a convertor is completely different to an adaptor. It's not really fair that you do not highlight at the time of purchase. It is however hidden, under product reviews. So many customers saying the same thing. Shame on you!

Limpa super bem, fácil de usar, fio bem longo que facilita bastante. Um pouco alto o barulho mas nada que seja insuportável.

Loved the product but why are you selling the incorrect voltage on a Singapore site. It blew up the steam cleaner, the plug and tripped the electrics in the house. Dangerous and illegal under the sale of goods act. Am waiting for a response.
