Sulphur Convenient Candles

I know this product was created for greenhouse use, but I was desperate. There was a huge groound hog setting up camp under my back porch. I lit the candle and the fumes made him change his mind about using my location. Haven't seen him since! Lit outside a short distance from my house and the fumes did the rest. Entire canle not used.

I had a powdery mildew problem, in a 4x4 grow tent in my home. After removing plants and other material, bombed the tent with this product to prevent recurrence of the PM. I took it pretty seriously, using a 3M respirator, & taking a variety of steps to isolate the area & flood other areas with fresh air. It was barely enough. If your garden is inside residential living quarters, I strongly recommend you vacate the residence during treatment. Definitely have a proper respirator, such as for VOC use, that also encloses your eyes. A face full of sulpher brings one to urgent attention. Your eyes are mucous membranes and absorb gases. I keep my respirator primarily for putting down poly urethane for work, & keep it in a ziplock bag, so the filters don’t quickly need replacement. It’s a lifetime investment. If you get PM as I did, one of these in a roughly 125 cubic foot area, will sanitize & reset your grow space. You won’t need to buy a “burner,” or a lot of sulpher. I had zero trouble with the wick. It lit first try, & stayed lit. You will need to clean your grow space thoroughly afterward. Sulpher powder coats everything, which frankly, is what we’re going for. Be smart and set the little can on something that won’t burn, even at a couple hundred degrees. I didn’t shoot this with my laser thermometer, but the can gets extremely hot, and setting on something that’s a heat conductor would be a bad idea. I’m glad I bought it. I might buy one to put on the shelf, as insurance.

I can't get the thing to burn even after pouring a little alcohol in it.What's the secret to getting it lit?I'm not in favor of using this product again, and will warn anyone who considers using it not to. It is not a candle as implied, and does not burn as one would think. I will never buy this product again.

if you're thinking of burning this with your plants in the room to kill the pm on them your plants will also be dead in 3 hours flat.

Great scent

Hooray, I can still get a sulphur candle online. You can not get them in garden centres anymore because apparently people have made themselves ill by returning into a greenhouse after lighting the sulphur. Doh! Why would anyone do that? Shame we all have to be limited as a result of others unthinking actions.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, wipe out any nasties in greenhouse. used to buy another brand but latest reviews indicate product has shrunk and is not effective.Thank you Battles.p.s What relevance does "Warmth or Sheerness" on the review have to do with a sulphur candle?

Difficult to light. I put in a tin box which worked eventually. I wouldn't use it again though, it destroyed the finish on my automatic window openers which I'm not happy about and the smell lingers for a long time even with doors and vents open. I've no idea if it helps with pests as I used it as a precaution before plants go in.

Recommend and will buy again. Once the candle got going worked really well. Took a while fir smoke to build but it did and clearly visible within 30 mins. Make sure you position the wick to get it going.

This is the 3rd time I’ve used this product and it has cleared the bugs etc in my greenhouse every time.
