For your buckle-obssessed toddler
At around 18 months, our twins became fascinated with the buckles in highchairs, carseats, shopping carts, luggage, etc. They loved to buckle and scream for us to unbuckle for them. We introduced BuckleyBoo on a long flight with the hopes that it would keep them occupied on the plane. It kept their attention for about 20 minutes - which is an eternity in toddler time. (Note: they were just as happy with the airplane seat buckles too). It's a pretty big doll to bring on as a carry-on, though. But we keep BuckleyBoo in their playroom and they still buckle him up - even at 21 months.

not annoying. She gets a little frustrated when she can't ...
Bought this for my daughter at 23 months for a plane ride surprise hoping it would entertain her & it did, for a while. It's soft & seems to be well made. The chime is pleasant, not annoying. She gets a little frustrated when she can't get the buckles together right (because the ribbons will twist), but is pleased when she does. Of course we still have to unbuckle them for her & that was expected. She's not in love with it though & doesn't play with it as much as I thought she might. My friend's daughter loves her buckleyboo & she's close to the same age. Right now mine prefers to do things independently & I think when she can open the buckles on her own she will enjoy it more. We're hanging on to him for a while :)

Great learning toy!
My 18 month old daughter loves to buckle. This little bear holds her attention such that she's not trying to unbuckle her car seat or her high chair. We love this guy: good quality, durable, and let's our daughter refine her motor skills! I'd buy it again!
