Automatic Pet Door Opener/Residential Automatic Pet Sliding Door(White)

The first unit had a fault but I could see how useful this could be so I returned it and got a replacement. Its very easy to fit and as others have said it is a bit loud BUT its a worth its weight in gold if you have a dog that wants to be let out at least 20 times each evening. If you look at the instruction book closely you will see that you can use the included plugs to enable you to control other functions of the door. I could not bring myself to pay extra for pet sensor tags. Initially I thought they was a good idea and would enable our dog to go out whenever she wanted to but I prefer the idea of controlling when she goes outside. I have connected the pet output of my unit to a 230v relay that enables me to press a button and open the door about 30cm to let our dog out. I have done the same to another output and using the same process I am able to get Alexa to Open or Shut the patio door. One thing to point out is that by default the patio door will open for an adjustable amount of time and then close automatically. This can be turned off by altering one of the dip switches on the unit. I immediately stopped the door automatically shutting because our dog often likes to stand in the door way sniffing. We have been using our unit for about 6 months now and it has worked faultlessly and for this price it is a bargain. Item states that it’s an automatic pet door but doesn’t actually include any of the components needed to work with pets. Also states in item specifics that it’s 433hz & for smart home but doesn’t have wifi chip on the board Contacted seller & told both are extra. Could have bought the basic model elsewhere for far less. Now stuck with an automatic pet door that I bought for my dog, but doesn’t actually work for pets without buying extra parts. There’s no mention of optional extras, nor that this is just the ‘door opener’. In this state, from the box it will only work with a remote or push button. This is NOT automatic, is NOT going to work for your pets & contrary to the specifics, does NOT work with your ‘smart home’ Absolute joke & I will be reporting the advert as it’s false advertising & total breach of trades descriptions act
