I Lost a similar pair of these and needed to get new ones. At first these seemed exactly the same, but in using them I found how difficult they are to lock & unlock. I thought that they needed to be broken in, but even with use they are still difficult. Even tried oil. Sadly no help.

These are tricky to use. On thick wire, you have to use your free hand to spin the pliars. On thin wire, they work fine. Either way, the end product is very good. I use these pliars to strand together bare copper wire neutrals in electric boxes. It's easier than my Kleins.

Rear nipple came broken poor packaging

They broke within a week of using them. The spring mechanism in the lock broke. These are junk. Dont buy

Should have looked closer to see this pair can’t alternate twist direction. One-way twist only, and the twist mechanism is solid, but the spring-loaded return is much nicer.These are definitely solid though.

Tried to pick one that wasn't over priced but had a good tip and wasn't cheaply made. This fit the bill. Heavy, nicely made, lock and release good. I used these for 9 years in the navy and this set worked as good as those did. If your looking for a good safety wire pliers I think you'll like this set.

Works as expected but could be use more precision on design. Would also be nice if it was spring loaded to open
