JFG hand guards/ bark busters.
I installed these hand guards/ bark busters on my sons apollo x18 RFZ. easy to install no instructions but fairly simple. I installed the wedge caps first then the inner bar clamps loosely next the adapter that attaches them together. then adjust and tighten everything. The kit comes with different size plastic shims to accommodate different handlebar configurations. Look great, sturdy. Good price point. Will protect my son's hands priceless!

Direct fit KLR 650 08-18
These are a direct fit on the Kawasaki KLR 650 08-18 model. You will need to purchase some extra hardware, and do a little persuasion on the aluminum guards to make them work. I did it by hand, I didn’t have to reshape them with a hammer. They will not line up perfectly even with the levers on both sides, because the cables on the left side interfere. But for $30, opposed to $130, they are a good value and worth the hassle of install. The plastic on one side came pre-scratched from the factory, so it already matches my bike. No drop test yet, but they feel sturdy.

Seem high quality
These seem pretty sturdy and like they’ll do the job. Install on a Honda CRF125 took about an hour. There were no instructions, but I watched a five minute YouTube video about generic handguard installation and was able to figure it out easily. As others said, install all the hardware semi loose before tightening anything so you can make adjustments. Even if they break in a fall, which I doubt, they’re cheaper than OEM Honda levers and brackets.

Cheap garbage
There's inexpensive and there's cheap...... I've bought a lot of inexpensive stuff off amazon and eBay with good, tempered, results, unfortunately these are cheap crap. As soon as I opened the plastic and tape bag they were shipped in I knew I was in trouble lol but I figured what the hell.... There were no instructions so I was trying to piece them together on my bench before trying on the bike. Unfortunately I couldn't even do that because two of the first three bolts I tried threading in BY HAND wouldn't go in beyond a ¼ of the way easily before fighting me, then when I tried to remove them they cross threaded and had to be forced out using a wrench. My main goal was wind protection because I'm not a hardcore off-roader. I'm very disappointed in this purchase, they will most likely go straight in the trash and I will find something else

Not name brand quality or strength.
I have 3 sets of name brand guards on other bikes to compare to. Moose and Barkbuster. These are very good copies, cheeper plastics, cheeper metal and cheeper hardware, but at a fraction of the price. Fit up is a bit rough and unfinished. A few minutes with a file, and a countersink drill bit and I was happy with the fit. They are knockoffs, so I wasn't expecting perfection or top notch metals. The main metal guards are light feeling and appear to be cast metal, not bent extruded aluminum like name brand units, so durability is unknown. They should work fine pending any HARD hits. These are on a Honda XR650L with Protaper Contour Windham RM Mid bars. My last set of barkbuster Storm guards for a DL1000ADV were $130.Update: tiped the bike over in deep sand, all seemed fine. Later that day doing a sharp U-turn on a dead end sand logging road, I bumped a large rock at almost a stand still speed, loast my ballance and tipped over. They bent so bad I could no longer pull the clutch in. Had to remove and bend back to shape. It was fairly mutilated. Ill be replacing them with name brand units. These are the only units I've ever bent.

Easy install
Just works! Fits on my X-Pect Enduro. I needed something to block the wind and it does that perfectly.

*For the price* they are excellent.
I read the other reviews before purchasing, and after getting and installing them, I will say they do fit. The hardware they come with is cheap, but does work. And the people that were having trouble with their throttle binding after they installed it did not cut away enough of the plastic siding on their throttle so it wouldn’t catch the side bar. My son is learning to ride as well as myself, and he has had two falls. One on concrete and one on gravel and both times the side bar hit the ground first which probably saved my brake lever. So they have already paid for themselves. I agree with the others that they might not take an extremely hard fall but $30 is pretty cheap insurance if you’re just looking for something. Or if you just want to keep the wind or cold off your hands these would work perfectly. I plan on going to the hardware store eventually and getting some better anchors for inside the handlebars as well as nuts and bolts to hold the brackets in place. Other than that I can’t complain for what you pay. Otherwise you’re looking at spending $150 for a nice set.
