Underrated product!! Goodness
this product is SO SO underrated! I have been using it for Homemade mayo for around 2 years and it is absolutely flawless! The only reason I am having to buy it again is because my WIFE (beloved) had dropped it several times on the floor!!!!! It has cracked all along in various places so itI wish it were made of metal!! It would then last FOREVER!

Love it for hollandaise
Thought I'd better leave a review on this item as there doesn't seem to be much info out there on it, results wise. I love Eggs Benedict but I can't seem to get the knack of preparing the main sauce. So basically I bought it to make hollandaise sauce and guess what, it actually works! I followed the recipe as supplied in the accompanying booklet except for using a tablespoon of white wine vinegar and a little squeeze of lemon juice (rather than the more complicated stock they suggest) and I had perfect hollandaise sauce in a matter of minutes. It cost £25 which admittedly did sting a bit and I was suffering from buyers remorse right up until I used it... now I figure that it's still probably cheaper than all the butter I wasted over the last couple of years trying to perfect my hollandaise. That's what I'm telling myself anyway. Haven't tried any of the other sauces yet but if it's anywhere near as good as the hollandaise then I'm probably going to pack on the pounds.

Great idea but mine was faulty.
Great concept. The method of drizzling in the oil is an excellent idea, and what sold it to me. Unfortunately I couldn't adjust the setting to either Oil or Butter because the parts would not do up properly. No way could I get the arrow to one of the settings. I didn't want to apply undue force for fear of breaking it. I did feel that the shape of the lid of the oil/butter container was such that it was hard to get a proper grip on it, even when it was clean and unused. Also, the container would feel more stable or anchored if the base did not taper inwards (better would be tapering outwards) - maybe stand it on a damp teatowel for extra grip? I'd be interested in an improved version of this gadget.
