hansgrohe Wallbar Classic, 24" Premium 4-inch Classic Spray Easy Height Adjust Wallbar in Brushed Nickel, 27617820

There doesn't seem to be a perfect shower wall bar from any manufacturer at a reasonable price -- at least we couldn't find one. This one came closest, and is pretty darn good (so far). The raising and lowering locking mechanism seems sturdy and is easy to use. Move a 1/4 turn in one direction and it's loose, move back and it's tight. However, the actual raising and lower itself could be better. It's very jerky, especially going down. But, hey, it's livable. The part that allows the shower head arm to change its angle is the kind that has set positions, so when you change the angle it makes a loud clicking noise each time it snaps into the next position. The ones we've seen that are smooth and allow continuous positioning don't seem to hold their positions well (the head tends to slowly sag down). This type, on the other hand, seems to lock into position and won't budge without being forced. As long as the mechanism doesn't break, I think it's the better way of doing it.The description of this item states it comes with a Sensoflex hose. The label on the box the item came in states it includes a Sensoflex hose. But what was actually in the box? A Technoflex hose. The Sensoflex hose is a metal hose; the Technoflex hose is a plastic hose. Hopefully this was a packing error and most boxes have the Sensoflex hose as they should.UPDATE: DO NOT LOSE THE WASHER included with the hose. Unbelievably, it is not a standard washer, and a replacement washer (part #88651000) costs about $12 with shipping; (here on Amazon -- more elsewhere). That knocks my rating down to 3.5 stars.

Great looking shower bar that compliments the rest of the Hansgrohe shower product line. Using this with the Raindance C 100 AIR 3-Jet Hand Shower (Hansgrohe 28548921). Ours is very easy to move up and down and we have not experienced the 'jerky' feel the other reviewer had. When you move the angle of the shower head it does make a loud clicking noise into the next set position. It almost feels/sounds like you're breaking it. I did not realize until after installation that the product description on Amazon says it comes with a Sensoflex hose (metal), which it does NOT. The product page on Hansgrohe states the reality, which is a Techniflex Hose (plastic). I would have preferred the advertised metal hose over the included plastic, but the plastic still looks and functions fine. I suppose I would consider other options from Hansgrohe in the future, but I'm not disappointed with the purchase.

Returned item because it's super light and made with mostly plastics. The holder and the top and bottom mount covers are made with all plastics. The handle bar is hollow and seems to be constructed of a very thin metal. It looks great and functions fine except that with some relatively light pressure the holder slides up and down slowly even in locked position. You'll be happy with it if you don't mind the cheap materials. The look is modern and beautiful. If you're looking for solid brass or metal construction you should definitely look elsewhere.

Although it's made of plastic (as with all similar brands at this pricepoint), the build quality and mechanisms still feel pretty sturdy, slides smoothly, and locks in place with no issues. Water spots easily wipe off. Compliments my setup very well.

Instructions are not helpful at all.

As another customer said in their review it comes with the wrong hose. Described as sensoflex hose on box and description by Amazon the hose is the plastic one, not the metal version. Am returning it and feel the description should be changed or the manufacturer advised to put correct hose in box.

Somewhat disappointed... the bar is very short and the mechanism to move it feels a bit loose. Not worth the money.

Muy buena calidad y fácil montaje con solo dos tornillos que luego quedan escondidos por dos capuchones de plástico del mismo tono que la barra. Se desliza bien y el mecanismo de bloqueo es fácil. Admite alcachofas estándar. Recomendado.
