XSPANDERBlu-Ray Disk Drive Replacement Lite-On DG-6M1S-01B DG-6M1S 6M2S B150 Laser for Xbox One

The drive went bad in my daughters Xbox one, so I ordered this and followed directions. Wasn't too hard to replace circuit board and reassemble. The xbox turns on but drive doesn't take disc. Seems as if no power to drive. I checked the board and it has power but don't work.. so now I have to play with a return and get another one.update: 06/28/2019Received replacement unit and guess what,, yep doesn't work either. neither of units taking discs.DOA. i took the drive from my other two units and works fine. Two times these drives didn't work.. ill be sending this one back too.

Replacement drive came with no instructions. I swapped it and it wouldn't read game discs. The system locked up on an update. I contacted Amazon and got another one on the way. After some research, I found out the circuit board must be swapped from your original drive to the replacement. I found instructions to do this online and did the swap. It completed the update and works well so far. My bad for not researching it first, but neither drive I received came with any instructions for the install. The sale page also does not specify that these are used drives they send. The whole debacle could have been avoided if they were more clear in the description of the item or at least sent some instructions with the drive. But at least it's working now.

The Disc drive arrived undamaged, and was an exact replacement for my Xbox One (not an S or X). I followed a Youtube video for the replacement procedure and the new drive works great, without any error messages. You do have to unsolder two wires on the board in the disc drive, and this was mentioned in a note included in the packaging. This $30 disc drive saved me from buying a new Xbox. Total time from unplugging the Xbox from the TV to having the drive replaced was about an hour, as long as you are careful and have some basic soldering skills this is a DIY project.

This replacement disk drive works like the xbox is new! But t does take some work and some minor know -how to install, and there are a few great Youtube videos that walk you through it! The most difficult part is that The board from the old disk drive must be installed to the new disk drive and soldered to the motherboard to work properly . If you have a soldering gun , the right size screwdrivers and some patience... its not too bad

Defective upon receipt. Warranty sticker was already torn. Metal case and cushions sign of abuse.---UPDATE--- AUG 7, 2019Second one arrived in better shape, swapped circuit board as instructed. I did not need to solder anything.

You NEED to look up a tutorial on YouTube so you'll know what you're doing and a soldering iron for two small connections.If you are a DIY type of person it should be no sweat!Get a big open work space to lay things out where you can find them easily and keep distractions to a minimum of possible.Fixed it right before Christmas and it's been getting used HEAVILY since then with no issues. Would definitely recommend!!

Not happy about this product, customer service is great, but the product did not work for me and had to send back 2 drives (originally bought and replacement).

If you follow instructions and install it properly it should work just fine. Not incredibly easy to install, but as long as you own a soldering iron, it's not that difficult.

Received product in perfect condition. Swapped the daughterboard from the original Xbox one disc drive to this one. Will require a soldering iron for the two wires. Works perfectly!
