I'm new to fly fishing, and doing it as a kid.but recently my son became interested so I started taking him out and am still learning. We met a guy catching trout after trout while we had only a few nibbles on worms. He gave us a fly and showed us how to use flies with a spinner and we started to get bites right away.There's a bit of technique to setting the hook with flies so we didn't actually land anything that day. I got this as a starter kit just to try out and we had much better luck on our first outing.However, it worked as a delicious lures, and I caught more trout than before when I first time trying this flies.and I asked the guy if I got improved with my fly fishing skills,and the answer from him was NOPE!!!he just said I caught more trout is because Trout like this flies and he also asked me to get this listing to buy it....

Over all these are decent flys for anyone starting out or with just a little experience. Some reviews said they came undone after a few casts but I didn't have any issues and used multiple ones. Obviously, yes there are better flys out there but for 100pcs for 20 bucks plus a good case to carry them in; im pleased with them.

Decent variety of flies that come in a good case. I think the color patterns catch more fishermen and women than fish. Fooled a few bluegill, but the thread started to unravel after just one fish most of the time. Great for beginners but I wouldn’t count on having any left after a few trips.

Bought this fly fishing gear few days ago,and tried it for my trout fishing two days ago.There was no surprise when I just received this small and plain fly box,and I was also not surprised by these palin 100 pcs flies.Nevertheless, I realized why this flies can be a "amazon's choice" at category of Flies for fly fishing till I really use it for fishing.it seems much easier catching Salmon than the flies I used before.But I really have no idea why it was happening......I will keep trying and investigating this flies......and comeing back later to tell you what I find.

This order of flies didn't come with a luxury box,but the quality of flies is good, and it's much batter than that flies made by plastic.As far as I can tell,all the flies were made of feather so it's right choice for bassing and trouting.(you will have known that if you have really done at least several times of fly fishing.plastic flies or lures are never working as well as feather flies,but plastic one is cheaper and lasting longer than feather flies.but I will definitely buy feather one.It's really embarrassing if I spend the time to fishing but the fly lures are not right. )

read the reviews carefully before purchasing these flies,I did't care if it cost me few bucks more or less,The thing I would care about was if it works with trout.( Time and fun worth more than lures for me)As other reviewers said, this flies doesn't come with fancy box but lifelike flies.yesterday was my fourth time using this flies,Everytime it really does its job well -caught some trout for me.I think this all I expected ----bringing trout and fun for me.

This is my second order of fly from amazon.First one costs me about $30, and it came with a fancy box but plastic flies.As we know, Feather flies are better for fly fishing but cost more.This second order of flies didn't come with any fancy box but a simple and tight box.but the flies are great, most of that made by feather.I just tried them one week ago for bassing,and it really worked better than the plastic one.
