I got this to help with typing my finances into my laptop. Most laptop short of gaming do not ha e number pad anymore. For my surface pro, this works pretty well although it does take up the only USB port I have on my surface. The usb dongle can easily fit inside the battery area. This device runs on one triple a battery which the device does not come with. The usb dongle is not too big. Its about the size of most dongles only sticking out maybe a fourth of an inch out. The distance so far I have seen the device go about ten to thirteen feet before it loses connection. One of the things I would say is that there is a key that will input 000. It took me awhile to get uses to that. Another thing I would say about it is that the keys are exposed a little on the side. They are easy to remove in case you need to clean them and they have no back light. The keys have a good recoil. The top part of the keys where the battery light indicator is made of plastic that is easy to scratch and damage. Just putting it into my bag causes scratches. It is light and the USB dongle can fit inside behind the battery cover. I did try this with gaming however I did not think it was responsive enough to keep up with games. Overall I think this is a decent number keyboard and I do recommend if for people wanting their number keys back for their laptops.

This is a simple hook up by USB and batteries. It's honestly the same size, style, feel as a number pad on a keyboard. Totally light weight. Feels like nothing. This is an awesome gadget to have and it fits anything with a USB port. It's come in handy with tablets and phones! Worth the buy!

Got this for work so I could have the keypad set off to the side when not in use, saves alot of desk space when matches with a keyboard w/o keypad. I don't ways have to use the keypad but when I do it's great to have. Range is great I've tested it around my house and computer still gets input even all the way in my kitchen. Waterproof rating is true, I've spilled a little water before and it still works. It's not a membrane keypad so there is no where for water to leak in. Of course don't drench it in water. But it can survive splashes.

Easy to use, great for spreadsheets. Wish it had a manual On/Off switch, my battery dies too quickly when I leave the receiver plugged in.

I tried 4 batteries, 3 ports, and it won't turn on. This thing is defective.

You have to take out the battery every time you are no longer using it! I wish there was a power button so I could save batteries. When I would disconnect it from the computer it still drained the battery! So despite the fact that it makes my life easier when typing on my laptop it makes it more difficult because I have to babysit the battery. I went through 2 packs of aaa batteries in 3 weeks of work.

Perfect for entering coordinates into my online game. Works great!

The Number Pad worked for two months and then stopped. Changed the batteries, but it didn't make any difference, would not recommend this unreliable product.

the buttons are not working and the same has been returned but, no one has responded yet. NOT TO BUY FROM AMAZON.

And because it's cheap (ish), buy something else.
