RFT by Rainforest Men's Cire Quilted Parka Coat with Removable Hood

The thermoluxe material is lighter than 600 pack down and does not poke through. I thought the jacket would just be crotch length based on the picture, but ordered XL and it was fingertip length which I like even better. I hate jackets that don't even cover your butt and groin in cold weather. I have big shoulders and 2XL might've been a bit more flexible in shoulders, but it's fine using a snow shovel The jacket has lots of big pockets and all have zippers or snaps along with flaps or rain-proof seals. Never had anything get wet in the pockets even wearing coat in pouring rain. The waist has drawstring that you can tighten. The sleeves have inner layer that holds to your wrists and keeps out cold.I have only three small complaints. First, the hood is a little too big and loose. It would be better with elastic a little smaller & denser. It tends to blow off unless you tighten the drawstrings if wind is strong. But the hood can be removed or you can just wear a separate hat. Also it tends to get hot above 50 degrees F because of the sealed sleeves. A lighter packable thermoluxe jacket or down is probably better to go in and outdoors frequently without getting too hot or too cold. The final complaint is that the zipper is sometimes hard to start but it zips very smoothly once you get the hang of it. I almost returned it because the zipper was hit and miss to get started, but I figured out a trick - barely start the zipper, then give the jacket a sharp pull up on the right side. This worked and made the jacket almost-perfect for what I wanted. Now the zipper usually goes up with no problem and I don't have to give it a tug. It also has a double zipper, so you can pull it up like a cape or let in just as much air as you want. It looks fantastic with a nice glossy shine and a faint grid pattern.It has NINE pockets. There are two large and deep hip pockets with flaps & snaps, two large glove pockets on each side with deep edges so you can put smartphone or kindle inside with no worry of it falling out. There are two medium sized side pockets at rib level with snaps, a small snap pocket on the left upper arm that might hold an iPhone 4 or some small camera batteries. There is a zippered water proof inside left breast pocket and small inside right snap pocket that might hold iPhone 5 sized object or spare camera batteries or pens.
