Sanathan Homemade Products Sambar Powder 500g

To be honest, was a bit skeptical before buying this product and was tempted to go for so called renowned brands (no offense to them). But I finally decided to go for this because I have heard a lot about homemade spices coming from southern part of India. And it is with this conviction I went ahead and ordered it and I'm so glad that I tried this. An amazing product and so fresh that you can actually smell and taste the difference. Would really recommend this to lovers of South Indian cuisine, give it a try...you will be pleasantly surprised.

This sambar powder although very tasty, does not quite have the heartland Tamil flavour. In fact, it is flavoured like the famous "Bissi Bela" of Mysore. Everyone loves the Bissi Bela, but cannot have it on a regular basis. Tamilians make sambar at least twice a week and for that this flavour becomes a bit heavy. Perhaps the maker can look at offering a more Tamilian version of the sambar powder. We can then stock up on both and use them as per the mood of the day.

Excellent flavour: different from your run of the mill mass market product. Well worth a consideration and try - you may decide to use this as your go to sambar powder!

The tase was amazing first of all... The aroma makes you go into another world...The colour and the thickness is so nice compared to other sambar powder products and if we talk about the price, no other sambar powder product is available at this price and also other products are not providing you with this level of aroma and thickness and taste...

I prefer making masala powders at home as commercially available products are too mild or too strong. I had heard reviews of this brand from family and friends when I visited Bangalore. I was happy to see that they launched their products on Amazon and decided to give it a try. It'san authentic sambar recipe with perfect balance of spices. A must try.Highly recommend.

I made sambar using this powder. Sambar was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice has been added and gives a nice vibrant colour to sambar. An authentic south Indian sambar recipe. Everyone loved at home. Am excited to now try their other products as well...

My first order was good. So I ordered again. But this time the cooked sambhar has very bad taste. It had a cockroach infested smell. I cooked twice and both times it was very bad and had the same odour. Please do the needful.
