C: 5'' Accusplit - best pliers for small rings
The KastKing C: 5'' Accusplit pliers are the best I have found for small split rings. I have been experimenting with building cat toys because my F3 Savannah cats have destroyed every toy that is readily available. I am now using 50 lbs. monofilament line and 72 lbs. swivels because everything less fails in the first hour of play. However, I started down at 10 lbs. and the C:5 has been the best among the 6 different pliers I have tried. The shallower angle of the spike creates a larger separation on small rings. They are well made and the cutter is also effective.

Beautiful, multifunction fishing tool
Very durable, excellent design, fits into my tacklebox easily, having enough to handle the biggest, solid weight and easy to grip. Seems like a fabulous purchase for the money.

Its quality and should you buy?
There's no question you should buy. If your're looking for a high end, high quality needle nose players for fishing or for that matter to add to your tool chest then this one is the one. I did a lot of reseach and I'm glad I did. It was packaged in a way that showed it was of good quality. Once you unpack it you will know this was a great buy. Kastking is know for much more as well.

Perfect!
Just what my son needed to pull out the hook mainly from small fish that swallow the whole thing and is very hard too reach way in the back. High Quality stuff.

Too small for blue water lures.
Pretty small. I have a 6" (blue water) lure that I want to change out the hooks on. The small 1/4" split ring won't open enough with these pliers to slip over the embedded loop on the lure. That makes these utterly useless. There's no twist, or repositioning that can be used to open the ring up wider. So these are very limited. They might be okay for small rings.I bought the more expensive Shimanos. None of the listings anywhere have usable measurements and few have any images of the pliers being used.
