If you want to experience the words directly written from a true spiritual master, then here is another valuable book from Samael Aun Weor.This is one of my most favorites by Samael Aun Weor because of its sharp insight and discerning honesty.This book is more psychological in nature concerning the many internal problems we have as individuals and then as a society.This book is for those people who are serious about real internal psychological change and spiritual realization.Personally, I have read the book many times and it always motivates my meditation practice and other disciplines. It is very good spiritual food and produces in me the longing to study and practice much much more.It is necessary to study this book and responsibly reflect on it deeply in order to register its true value. It was written by a man who is a master of meditation(as well as a lot more esoteric spiritual practices) and one who has walked the spiritual path, so, it comes from that life of experience that very few can share.This book is part of the secret doctrine that was given to humanity as a gift to help those who long to live the path to liberation from suffering.There are many problems in our personal lives and in the world due to the problems we have not solved that eixst within our internal psychology.This books helps locate the roots of our problems and teaches how to address them responsibly and transform them into virtuous, practical knowledge.There is practical religious and spiritual knowledge in this book from esoteric Christianity and Buddhism and more. I consider it to be very helpful when trying to understand the mind and what it would be like to be free from the causes of suffering.

This book is one of Samael Aun Weor's books that has had a big impact on my spiritual path. Here Samael Aun Weor gives us a firm shake up, a very aggressive wake up call to awaken us from our deep sleep. In a very sincere and direct manner he lets us see how we are mistaken about our concepts of things. This book deals mostly with the state of our world but moreover, with the state in which we find ourselves in. From meditating on this work, it is very clear to me that the concepts that we have about everything from ourselves, our world, our lives, our fellowmen, etc is really the result of a sleeping conciousness. A sleeping conciousness cannot see things as they truly are but only dreams. What we experience on the outside tells us alot about what's going on inside of us, that is, inside our psyche. This knowledge can motivate us to change ourselves and therefore change our world which in turn will elevate us to higher levels of conciousness. Samael Aun Weor has done a magnificent job in speaking to the conciousness as he does here and in all his works because sometimes we need a firm wake up call and we need to be spoken strongly and directly to finally comprehend. This book is a good choice to begin the studies given by Samael Aun Weor specially as it concerns the awakening of the conciousness.

It has a lot of good narratives that I liked that are more frequent than in his other books. Also, there is a ton of information that took me a while to digest very eye opening

There is this quote from this book that hasn't left me, it crosses my mind often. "A general Gnostic rule in the Gnostic Esoteric Work is that when we do have a point of contention with another person, we can be certain that this is very thing against which we must work on within ourselves. Whatever it is that we criticize so much in others is something which lies on the dark side of ourselves, and which we neither know nor want to recognize." I consider that quote a blessing. Anything from Samael Aun Weor, Glorian publishing, gnosticteachings.org is incredible. The website has tons of great books recommended in their store, many by the Dalai Lama.

In a questionable state I asked myself a question and typed it in google...The first page I came across one was this page, where the Great Rebellion was advertised.After reading the product description I became interested an ordered it.Being astonished by the power and simplicity of the writing of Samael Aun Weor I started studying Gnosis.This is almost a year ago and I would never thought this book would have such an incredible impact on me.I still think it is one of the most powerful books I have ever read (of him as well)...I can recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are new to gnosis...

This is not my favorite book by Samael Aun Weor, but it is still a classic. The knowledge contained explains much of why we all suffer so greatly as people of the earth. It also sheds light on the path to exit suffering existence once and for all.

Everyone knows that the current state of the world is disastrous but is there anything we can do? Yes, change oneself for the better. How can we expect from the world to be a better place if in our own psyche we carry all the psychological impurities that make the world the way it is. This is a great book where you can find a precise technique how to change oneself and escape suffering and thus changing the world around you and find the true happiness.Here are few quotes:Rich and poor, believers and nonbelievers, merchants and beggars, shoemakers and tinsmiths only live because they must. They drown their torments with wine and even become drug addicts to escape themselves.No job provides happiness. The sense of true love has been lost, and people are married today, divorced tomorrow.The purpose of this book is certainly to find out more about all this, to try to understand the causes of such moral breakdown, to investigate, to seek.The wretched people are already weary of many theories. Nowadays they talk a great deal about being practical. We need to be practical and really come to know the causes of our sufferings.People work daily; they struggle to survive. Somehow they want to exist. However, they are not happy. The word happiness is like 'Greek' to people, as we say around here. However, worst of all is that they know this. But amid so much bitterness, it seems they do not lose the hope of achieving happiness one day without knowing how or in what way.

It pretty much hit the nail on the head with regard to the condition I find myself in in this world, so I could relate to the message immediately. It's a very powerful and effective opening chapter, which may appear bleak on the face of it, but it's simply realistic, and therein lies the hope it also gives.I like how he parallels the degeneration of the planet and the environment to that of our minds. I've read the entire book through once now and have to say it's the only place I've seen these ideas about the nature of reality, and especially the nature of concepts and constructs of information, expressed so well.Each of us carries leaky toxic waste and psychological time-bombs within the environment and terrain of our own minds. Through meditation we can delve into these minefields and through comprehension we can disarm the traps that otherwise are just lying dormant waiting to cause us and those around us horrible injury.

This is the book for anyone who is seeing the need to change. Who sees that the only problem in the world is that which we carry within us. It goes into depth of describing our inner world which is full of negativity, pleasures, desires, needs and gives a wider picture of it's involvement in our life and our enslavement to it.In the deepest corner of our being there is a force, a christic force that rebells against all this darkness inside of us and is urging us to eliminate those defects and so give the space for the christ to be born within us.I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes for this world to be a better place for everyone...

First read his first book before you come here, you may get lost other wise. It is the perfect matrimony. As is the title is what it talks about. Also reading up on the physical, mental and emotional affects of fornication (orgasm) I researched online and it took alot to find scientists who actually bothered to study the effects of this on how it destroys the nervous system, creates depression, skin breakouts, stress, agitation, accelerates aging, affects thyroid and hormone balance, affects women's pain during their period, lowers brain function and much more. This makes much sense when you realize if you had no nervous system, nothing would be able to communicate and your body would be like a doll. I am a nutritionist and could claim many other healing and alternative medicine titles, even energetic ones and yet still over many years I fought with all the same problems, including clients. Now it all makes sense and the more I study and comprehend with a discerning open mind the more I understand and comprehend and things from my past truly fall into place within the present. All of Samael Aun Weor's books are great. When I first started they were hard to read since they were blunt, right to the point and cut my ego down. I took a few months of processing time off after the shock, then I got back into it. All of the World's religions are eventually looked at, since the heart of them are the same. You are also encouraged to think, practice and experience things for yourself. Of course things require patience and learning, however if one wishes to no longer suffer day to day, then this is the way. In this book Samael gives what seems to be an introduction to his deep and profound wisdom. This book does not call as much upon ancient esotericism, but relates to the organism of the human being: how it is structured, what causes it's suffering, and how to change that through "the great rebellion" against one's animal ego. It infers that this current world worships the devil in the metaphorical sense, and loves all those lunar devices (shopping, fighting, sports, drinking), and hates anything solar (classical music, meditation, unconditional love, forgiveness). It loves theories but hates understanding and comprehension; science has many deep and profound theories, but does not understand their implications or inner meanings, for example. This book is a call to action, to reclaim one's sovereign right to freedom, to look within and see who one is and what one is capable of, shaking off all apparent boundaries placed upon us by social norms, subconscious preconceptions, animal reactivity. It asks one to know oneself, not to memorize theories. Very highly recommended, along with Revolutionary Psychology and Revolution of the Dialectic.
