Lunaria: Lunar Calendar 2015 Wall Calendar Calendar – Wall Calendar, July 23, 2014

I love it when I can find a calendar that is beautiful, all the while being useful and of high quality. Not all calendars are created equal as far as the paper quality goes. I like to keep a wall calendar in my bathroom and this one can hold up to the moisture changes without causing the sides to curls. It can also be irritating when its too heavy for the cover, causing it to tear when hung. This lunar calendar is the real deal and would make a great gift.

I've been getting this calendar since they came out and was very unhappy when they skipped one year. Has lots of astrological and astronomical information and fantastic Victorian photos for each month as well as interesting comments about the photos. The fact that the calender goes from New Moon to New Moon (which, in my opinion is what a real "month" is) makes my ability to time planting and other moon-related activities easier.

I love this calendar, and am still pining for the return of the planner that they stopped a few years ago... but I get this one every year and it helps dull the pain! moon transits, astrological events, planetary movements... they pack so much info into this calendar, will always get it as long as they make it... and would love the planner again

The pictures are very beautiful & seeing the stages of the Moon are a delight! If I had one complaint it would be that it starts December 21st then runs 30 days ending in the middle of January. I'm assuming this shows the signs of the Zodiac but doesn't remark on this.

Pretty photographs including lots of classic public domain artwork. This is the first year I've purchased the Lunaria, mainly because of the great reviews. I'm looking forward to to introducing the lunar year as contrasted with the traditional 12 month calendar.

Seeing as how I have purchased this type of calendar for a friend for the last four years and she has liked it each and every time, I feel that the odds are indeed good that she will like the 2015 edition of the Lunaria calendar.

A lovely, mystical calendar with serene poetry and the lunar months clearly delineated on each page. Please note that the lunar months are not the same as an ordinary calendar and so you must pay close attention to what you are looking at.

Love this calendar! my only complaint is the holes are too close to the edge of the page and they tear out when it's hanging on the wall.

I have been buying the Lunaria Lunar Calendar since at least 2006 (although, initially not through Amazon.) The only year for which I did not purchase it was 2013; it was not published that year because Ms. Leppek was in the process of moving the calendar from her own printing shop (Friday Press) to Amber Lotus.The astronomical information is excellent, coming from the U.S. Naval Observatory, one of the best sources of astronomical information in the world. Each day on the calendar includes an image that depicts the phase of the moon for that day, as well as moon rise and set times, aspects, the moon's place in the tropical zodiac, and more. Each Sunday also includes the Sun rise and set times. In addition, each "month" of the calendar includes a poem and/or story from a variety of folklore that involves the moon. For example, at the bottom of the month for the second moon of 2015, a brief story of the Mayan twins Xbalanque and Hunahpu is included, which describes their journey to become the moon and the sun.The accompanying graphics are beautiful, usually depicting scenes from a variety of cultures' folklore, myths, or stories relating to the moon.This calendar is a handy work of art; in addition to the fantastic visuals, it provides reliable astronomical information--all themed around the moon.
