Fab airer
Not used it to it's full potential but so far very good, I have to have this up in my dining room due to lack of space elsewhere and glad to say it doesn't take too much room up, it does get quite hot and dries the clothes especially t-shirts very well, I do rotate jeans, sweatshirts and heavier items around, it's very sturdy and takes a lot of weight, I like it for the fact I can load it, switch it on, cover it and leave it to do it's job, I do this mostly in the morning as I've not ventured to leave it on over night, glad I bought this as it's better than the open out one I had and was useless.

Easy to use and effective
My first introduction to heated airers. It’s big. It’s easy to put together and fold to put away, with instructions on the pole. It’s stable. I find it quite fiddly hanging the wet washing, easier to lie items on. It dries much better on the top rails. I hung some washing on my old unheated airer at the same time and some items were dryer than similar items on the lower rails of the heated airer. I’m happy with it but I’m in a small one bedroom apartment so possibly something smaller would have been a better choice for me. I’d have no hesitation in recommending it to someone with more space than me.

Expensive but worth the money
I’ve had this heated airer for a month now and I must say I’m really happy with it. I have a 10kg washer and the airer takes the load with ease. It’s light weight and easy to put up but the clips which hold the shelves up are a little flimsy so be careful with them. I also bought a cover for it and I must say it works a treat with it on. A full load with the cover on takes around 6-8hrs to dry and to run it costs around 6p per hour. I have this in my kitchen and when it’s on it also heats the room up as well! When it arrived it did have a few marks on which I noticed while unpacking but nothing major. All in all I think it’s a little expensive for what it is, £109 for the airer and £30 for the cover but that aside it does work a treat. I would definitely recommend getting the cover for it as it shortens the drying time and also covers it nicely when packed away.

It works, kind of.
This was a hard product to rate. It does what it's supposed to for the most part but not in a very successful way. Some positives, it's heated and it distributes its heat well, it's fairly sturdy, enough at least to hold a decent sized load of clothes effectively, and it folds up pretty compactly. It's still quite large though so you may want to measure the space you think you'd store it. It's about the size of a large door when collapsed. It's biggest weakness is its really cheap construction. When you are collapsing it you have to turn the "shelves" in a particular direction and they don't all turn in the same direction. If you are careful and good at remembering which direction to turn them you'll probably be fine but I turned the middle shelf the wrong direction with barely any force and it snapped off where it was connected to the frame. I didn't feel any resistance when doing that, so the plastic is pretty weak. There are arrows on the plastic part of the frame that tell you which direction to turn them but they are really hard to see, just molded into the plastic (so the exact same color as the plastic they are molded into) and I didn't even notice them until looking at where it broke. Even after it snapped the thing still works, I just have to not put much weight on the middle shelf. Be careful in using it, it's pretty fragile.

Heated clothes airer
Absolutely amazing! Good value for money, dries smaller, light clothes in less than a day, heavier, large clothes dry overnight, as long as you cover the drier with a sheet. Assembled really quickly and easily, folds down for storage quickly when not needed.

Initially great but plastic hinge part melted & broke after 1 month exposing wires
Until today I would have given this Airer 5 stars. I’ve had it for 1 month. I was impressed by the capacity, drying ability, cost-effectiveness & ease of storage once folded.Having read other reviews before buying I wasn’t surprised that it was lightweight and slightly flimsy in construction. As long as it was sturdy enough to take my washing and the racks heated well enough to dry them faster than a non heated Airer I was happy. It met my expectations for the first 4 weeks.A few reviewers had commented on the plastic hinge breaking. I assumed they had simply been too heavy handed when opening out the racks. So I was very careful when unfolding and folding the racks for storage, putting absolutely no pressure on them at all. And equally careful when putting clothes on the Airer to dry, placing them carefully and gently on the bars.Today I removed a 1/2 load of washing from the Airer which hadn’t even filled all the racks. When I came to folding it again for storage the middle rack didn’t seem to swivel as easily as it had previously. I didn’t try to force it in any way. I just looked to see where it may have caught.Imagine my surprise and disappointment to find that, despite my careful handling, one of the side hinges was not fully attached to the side bar. The plastic bolt holding the rack in place was completely loose, had broken away and simply slid out, exposing the wires. On closer inspection it seemed that part of the plastic bolt casing had slightly melted, causing the hinge to break apart.I don’t use a cover, so the heat from the bars should simply have been the normal drying heat, not an intensified heat from being enclosed.I now cannot use this Airer. I am genuinely sad about this as I thought I’d found a really great solution to drying clothes over the winter.Black & Decker is known brand with a good reputation. Because quite a lot of reviews are positive I thought maybe I’d received a rogue item from a faulty batch, so decided I’d try a replacement rather than a refund. There is nowhere at all on the Amazon site (that I can find) where I can request a replacement. It’s a refund or nothing. And having read some reviews with dreadful stories about their refund experience for this product this is really not the route I want to go. I need an alternative drying option now, not in several weeks as, if and when Evri ever turn up.Hopefully Amazon or Black & Decker will read this and resolve this quickly for me. I’ll come back and update this review once I have a resolution - or not. And if I do receive a replacement item I’ll review it after using so I can provide an informed review for others on whether my item was a rogue faulty one or this product in general should come with a “buyer beware” notice. Hopefully it will be the former.
