Steve Madden Women's Agathist Sandal

I was really excited to receive these shoes and had my eye on them for awhile before purchasing. I owned them for a month and had worn them probably a total added time of 24 hours before they broke while I was wearing them. I had worn them very occasionally (pretty much only to church) until I was going on a family trip and brought them as my go-to pair of sandals to match every outfit. Of course on only the second day I wore them for more than an hour at a time, the strap on one of the shoes came completely out of the sole. The time for me to return or file some sort of complaint seems to have expired about 3 days before this happened which is ridiculous...so now I own one functional shoe and one broken shoe from what I considered to be a reputable brand and can't even return them or get another pair. I really expected these sandals to last me longer than a day to a day and a half, and am incredibly disappointed in the money I spent for such poor quality shoes.

This product did not fit right at all. The strap that goes over the top of your foot and then wraps around the ankle to connect to the buckle was too short and too tight to the point that I could barely get the strap buckled in the first hole. My foot was too wide for this narrow size 8, and even though I usually wear an 8, for this brand I should have bought an 8-1/2 or perhaps an 8-wide would have been perfect if it had been an option. I initiated a product return so that I might be able to exchange it or find an alternative shoe for myself, but then my teen daughter saw them and decided she would try them on. She is normally a size 7-1/2 and it fit her well enough, although the strap is still a little short. She was able to get the buckle into the second hole, but there’s really not enough slack for the buckle, I think. It would be better if it was longer or had elastic on the base strap that has the buckle hardware on it. So, I gave the shoe away as a graduation gift to my high school senior instead of returning it. (Update: bought another style, same brand, half size up...also too tight. Doesn’t match up to other shoes in my closet in terms of specs. This brand is definitely too small and doesn’t show any wide width options. If your foot is wide it seems a whole size larger is needed. I think I’m done with this brand. Returning the other style I bought after these ones didn’t fit.)

These are literally amazing. I decided to take a gamble and order 7.5, my true size, despite complaints of it running small and a short ankle strap. So glad I did!! These are my favorite sandals now. The fact that they're genuine leather is a bonus. I have wider feet, so I sometimes have a hard time finding cute strappy sandals. These didn't disappoint!!

I ordered a size 6.5 and received size 6 in a 6.5 box. Strange and glad I caught that. Anyway, I will be returning these. I have wide feet and these sandals help me feel less self-conscious about them, it's cute but the only problem is it's too tight. I'm sure 6.5 would be perfect but it's a hassle to purchase again. Will change this review from 3 stars to 5 if I do.

I love these sandals. I saw that someone said they wore them in the rain and these stained their feet but I haven't had any problems with that and once it started raining so hard I was basically walking in a river while wearing these. They fit as expected and I have wide feet. I am a 7 1/2 about 95% of time (the other 5% i'm an 8) and I ordered a 7 1/2 and they fit great. I've had these for about 4 months now.

I absolutely love these sandals. I have wide feet and normally wear a sis 8 wide . So I ordered a size 8 1/2. They fit great . They are a little stiff but will soften up once they are worn. The back strap is a little short but it's not much of a bother. Would definitely buy these again.

I love these sandals! I've gotten so many compliments on them. They're super cute and comfortable. They do seem to be a bit large for me, which is saying something since I wear size 10 normally. I think going half a size smaller would have been perfect. You may want to take that into account before buying, check some other reviews.

Love them!!!! Great price! Fit true to size and the leather will stretch.
