Great read for a WWII enthusiast
Purchased for my nephew who is 11 and a WWII aficionado, "Bombing Nazi Germany" and "Normandy" did not disappoint. While I got him the graphic novels because he is a visual kid, he really enjoyed the text. Which is good because there is a lot of text. I am an avid reader of graphic novels and found these books to be more text-driven than much of what I've read. That said, the prose is solid, unadorned, and moves the narrative smoothly from pane to pane. I recommend this for anyone fascinated by war histories who also values detailed illustrations of the same.

Excellent Graphic History
This is another great graphic history from Wayne Vansant. For a student trying to get a grasp of the Second World War in Europe, this book, combined with Vansant'sย Normandy: A Graphic History of D-Day, The Allied Invasion of Hitler's Fortress Europe (Zenith Graphic Histories) ย and his upcomingย Battle of the Bulge: A Graphic History of Allied Victory in the Ardennes, 1944-1945 (Zenith Graphic Histories) , will serve as a nice base level.Highly recommended.

Tremendous Supplement
I am a teacher and have used this as a supplement for some of my students, especially those that are reluctant readers. Very pleased with it and my students have appreciated it.

The format was great. More history books need to use it. It would certainly aid teachers in all of their classrooms.

The most interesting thing about this book is its graphic ...
The most interesting thing about this book is its graphic novel format. It avoids the western bias of saying the bombing campaign won the war and lightly touches on the morality of carpet bombing civilians. The author's attitude toward the war can be found in the final lines where he quotes a Roman historian: "They made a wasteland and called it peace..."
