I have used a lot of these over the years but I can legitimately say these are the toughest I have found. Normally I can get a few welds cut before I am changing a cutter. I literally got an entire set of shock towers an fender aprons done on one cutter.I bought two kits thinking I would need all of them. Now I am convinced I will have several leftover when this project is done.

Beats the store prices and comes with so many extra cutters. With proper use and lubricant the cutters last for quite a while.

Cuts great but use some oil on the bit prior to using and it'll save you some time and headaches. Also DON'T FORCE IT! Most ppl push as hard as they can and when the teeth sheer off they blame the product. Let the teeth do their job and gently press into the weld. Trust me it works.The only problem I had was the bit kept wanting to jump around or roll off the spot weld. I solved that by using a punch to mark/ add a tiny divot into the metal then I pressed the center spike of the bit into the weld while pressing trigger on drill. Oh yah, one more thing. Don't drill too fast with these or else you'll have same problem of sheering off teeth to quick!Good luck

They cut fast be sure to use a center punch first to keep the locater from walking.

Perfect size for camloc fasteners and cuts cleanly into carbon fiber engine cowls. Mandrel and pilot were much smaller than I expected, but plans were made for adapting I guess. I had to make a conical bushing to adapt the smaller pilot to my template that already had #30 holes. Even so, the project went a lot faster and more accurately with this than the last time where I used a dremel, so big win for me. The bit I used is still very sharp, not new, but still very good. Depth of cut is good, but I hit both sides to minimize blowout. The only drawback is it is so small the plug is hard to get out of the bit, I had to remove the bit foreach new hole.

I used Lubricant-cut with this product, go slow and let the cutter do the work. I have done 26 spot welds and I’m still using the first cutter!

I purchased these as I needed to remove the rusted front wings I’m my son’s classic Mini. For slightly more than the price of a same size tool with just one cutter from a well known tool outlet, I was able to purchase this item with 6 double ended cutters and the extra points and drill bit.I thought they would wear out quickly and just about last until I had removed the wings and scuttle panel and then resort back to a grinder to remove the rest.But I have removed the wings, front panel and scuttle panel with just the first cutting end of the first cutter using my battery drill, and it’s still going strong.The cutter itself cuts easily through the metal leaving a clean hole on the removed panel and the spot weld itself on the other panel to simple grind back to a flush finish.In the end the job was completed a lot quicker than using a grinder on each weld. Also the grinder wouldn’t be able to deal with spot wells tight into corners without a lot of cutting excess material away first.Each spot weld has to be located and then punched with a centre punch for the guide pin to locate into to stop the cutter wandering at first.The cutting needs to be monitored though as it’s easy to cut through both pieces of metal if you’re not careful, which may or may not be desired depending on your requirements.

Muy práctico, me ha servido de mucho para quitar muchos puntos de soldadura del coche, tres cuestiones a tener en cuenta primero marcar el centro del punto soldadura con una broca pequeña, así se evitará que la púa patine, segundo lubricar con aceite y limpiar con una brocha para que no se queden las virutas pegadas en su uso entre punto y punto y lo más importante una velocidad muy baja, un taladro a batería al mínimo revoluciones. A mi así me han funcionado perfectamente.
