Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I received a sturdy metal case, topped with a silicon topper, containing two straws and a cleaner. Taken together, the case and the straws are slender, but just a little long (thus my description as bulky) for me. They just do not fit easily into my daily routine. They do fit nicely into a messenger bag or something similarly sized, though. That could make them perfect for someone else. The fact that there are two in a container also makes it easy for you to hand one to a friend, just in case they're willing to give one a try.They are metal. That does mean they'll convey temperature to your lips. That might take a little getting used to for some people. (I have not tried a silicone tip for mine yet).Lastly, bear in mind that when you close the case up you're closing it with silicone. There will be nowhere for leftover moisture to go. Thus, it might be to your benefit to make sure they get time to air out after use.Sturdy product. It's earned its 4 stars from someone who has to completely have her mind blown before she gives it 5.

It all started one seemingly normal day in my life. I first became aware that something was different when I caught sight of the mail carrier. Their pack was surrounded by a warm glow. A glow that stirred feelings of peace and environmental harmony.As she walked up my drive way the very air grew still, the birds fell silent, and the clouds parted. I walked outside in awe of what was happening. The postal carrier approached me, fell to one knee, and placed a package in my hands. It was all so surreal.I thanked her and slowly went inside; still surrounded by the feeling of reverence that had transfixed us just a moment before.My family gathered and we opened the package. As I withdrew my Reusable Straws Set we all became aware that something truly special was occurring. We had taken another step on the road to caring for our delicate world: one of recycling and reducing our footprint.The Reusable Straws Set have embedded themselves in our way of life. Never using those evil plastic straws again. The nightmare of them has been banished from our lives. We rejoice!!!!!

I am trying not to use plastic grocery bags, straws any unnecessary plastics. These straws I will take with me and use them at restaurants and never ask for a straw again. They are good quality. If you have a small purse, they might not fit. It would be nice if they could shrink down in half but they will fit at the bottom of my purse. I have a couple Corkcicle straws I use at home. These are just as nice as them. It would make a nice gift for those who are earth conscious. They come packaged in a really nice box then a bag then the container.

These straws are the perfect length, width, and thickness. Took off a star because of the container. There are silicone plugs on each side. That is a great design because both sides come out for easy cleaning. The problem is that only one of the silicone plugs has a tether to connect it to the container. I am very concerned I will lose a plug rendering the container useless.I contacted the company but they just said they would tell their design team. The container is the same size on both sides so I wish they would have just sent me another plug with a tether. Would be perfect otherwise!

We've tried bamboo, paper, glass and silicone - but decided we should finally try metal. Searched many times before but never clicked order until recently when I started noticing these nice light and slender aluminum cases. Decided to order 2 to compare: Lime Skies and Eco Tribe.Packaging: Lime skies came in a nice sturdy box, the eco tribe came in a flimsy "box" which seemed to be made of a "thick" grocery paper bag.Aluminum cases: Both look to be about the same length. However, Lime Skies had noticably nicer stoppers on both ends. the band that secures the top to the case is thicker than the Ecotribe one. And the depth of the stoppers for both ends was also thicker for the Lime Skies one. Lime Skies came with 2 aluminum cases for the 4 straws, Ecotribe had only 1 case for 4 straws.Metal Straws: Lime skies came with 4 standard diameter straws. Ecotribe came with 2 standard diameter straws with 2 thinner straws nested inside. I found that I more likely would have wanted thicker straws than the thinner ones, so I preferred the 4 standard diameter straws. But I think I would also prefer a thicker boba straw (if Lime Skies considers offering this?)Cleaning brushes: Lime skies came with 2 nylon cleaning brushes. Ecotribe came with 2 cotton brushes that were nested inside the thinner straw nested inside the standard straws. Those cotton brushes were really hard to get out and consequently push back in. And even bent a bit as well as I was trying to push it back in.SO... we were about to head out for dinner and Lime Skies got my vote. I brought them out last night for the inaugural use. Didn't taste any metallic flavor. Really like the aluminum case and how the two ends pop out so you can thoroughly clean through the aluminum case later when we got home. My only worry is that over time these stoppers may get old and loose. But for now, I think they are really awesome. Definitely better than the quality of the ones from Ecotribe. I was so excited, I posted a review of these on my FB page and got some interested friends who are asking for my recommendation too :) Lime Skies, please make boba straw sets in these cases next! I'll be in line to buy one and for the rest of my family has holiday gifts :).

Use straws when traveling, I like the travel case because of traveling and it’s must nicer than the drawstring ones that most other vendors offer. Nice quality stainless steel and a pleasure to use. Easy to clean wth the brush provided. Also helps environment as straws are becoming the number land fill material.

JUST GET IT. Best price for a decent product. Other listings for the same product is not this cheap... :DJust used the straws today, and the tips are bent slightly inward so it doesn't hurt you, but it appears it could be a bit sharp if you really tried to get yourself hurt (don't try, obviously).

I don't write reviews often, but I have been very happy with this product. It's perfect for my morning smoothies, and with the handy carry case, I can store them in my bag when I am done with them, so I don't lose it. The case looks big - but it works for my every day purposes - it's not going to fit in a fancy clutch evening bag though - just in case you were wondering.Rounded edges - so nothing sharp that you could cut yourself on (like some other cheaper options) it really feels like a first class product. I will likely get another set and get some as gifts for family.Highly recommend.

The bottom of the case also comes off so it's easy to wash and air dry.
