Linden-Birch Bath Broom Russian Banya Venik for Sauna

I bought two birch veniks and they were great. After soaking the leaves in cold/tepid/hot water the leaves opened up and gave pleasant birch aroma. The veniks themselves were on the larger side and had plenty of heft. Initially when I opened the package a few loose leaves fell out, but that did not cause a problem. We used each venik about 4-5 banya nights and the birch oils and leaves worked great. Will buy agian.

I was born in Finland, and every summer I visit my native country. I love taking sauna, every day - with a good "sauna vihta" birch-switch (it has many names) made from the birch tree. Now living in Southern California, I have built the sauna, but in the winter time, I really have miss not having the vihta and bathing with that. THEN, I found "Birch Bath Broom Russian Banya Venik for Sauna" from amazon.com. I ordered one... And it was very, very good. I've now used it three times and the leaves stay there when hitting yourself with the "vasta". (Very good for your blood circulation!)Next fall, I certainly will order several more from this seller! This is the best sauna whisk I have had! I have tried them from many places. I did soaked it in hot water for at least an hour, but this one has the most leaves on it after the first sauna evening. It feals lush, strong and soft at the same time

Let’s face it: a good venik is a freshly made venik. Having said that though, I would recommend these venik. They have plenty of foliage attached still and their stems are flexible. Opening the packages (yes they come encased in plastic bags, helping retain their freshness) you get a good whiff of the forest. Reasonably priced and well constructed.

I ordered this item hoping it would work for my sauna baths . Unfortunately it fell apart once I opened it . I read other reviews saying the same but decided to give it a try, I guess there are not a lot of options in amazon with this particular product. I ended up making my own . I m going to make more from my river Burch three this summer. I suggest you find this elsewhere or make your own . This product may dissapoint you as it did me. It was a coin toss for me when I ordered it, I guess I lost .

We got this product for our traditional winter house which has a sauna.This Venik lasts really long. Will defiantly buy it again next year.Thanks

This is a perfect Venik for our Sauna nights! Excellent quality and you can't beat the price! Already purchased twice and will be buying again.

Well, I don't know, but maybe the last review was a little of a raw deal. OK. Here goes. Venik arrives. Carefully open the bag a few hours before first sauna use.Yes there a ton of dried leaves on the bottom of that bag. Do not discard . Cook those leaves in a gallon of water like tea. let sit strain. Bottle. Use that to ladle on your sauna stones.That gets you a week. of use. Now, the Venik itself. Get a 5 gallon bucket. Put Venik in it . fill with warm water to cover where the base starts. Cover with towel Let sit a few hours.Shake a little prior to entering sauna.The firs time there will be some leaves. When leaving sauna hang to dry. Repeat next time. For the price, and eligible shipping, you can make it happen.Who Knows, the next 2 I just ordered may get a bad review. But I doubt it.
