Electronic Commerce 2012: Managerial and Social Networks Perspectives (7th Edition) 7th Edition

The item was received as described. I ordered it for a class at university and it was received almost a week before I was expecting it which was great. However, I find that the price was high and I was wishing to find the product cheaper. We haven't used this book too often in class yet, but it seems like interesting content about the upcoming or present technology in 2012.

Having only basic knowledge about e-commerce, this book definitely helped to broaden it. I believe it might be worth for someone interesting in starting own online business, otherwise ok for school.

Like many other reviewers, I bought this book because it was required for a master's level class I am taking. I honestly think it is only being used in the class because the book has so many pre-formed questions that the instructor can use for the creation of assignments and discussion questions. As everyone else has stated, this book makes blatant, redundant, unnecessary, and frankly downright annoying references to Wikipedia which make it come across as completely unscholarly. I seriously wonder if they included them just to increase the page length of the book. Given that, I find it absolutely ridiculous that the book is priced so high. The ONLY reason I give it two stars is for its comprehensive coverage of ebusiness and ecommerce practices. I would give it more stars if it actually contained specific information, but usually the concepts are not defined, only illustrated with a series of diagrams and examples. I DO NOT recommend this book - if you have a choice in the matter.

Excellent book, i just love what i'm reading. The book is well organised with very current information on e-commerce. I like the very practical approach and many example cases presented

This book was required for a class in my Master's degree. I have never written a bad review for an item, but this book is so bad that something has to be said.This book constantly references wikipedia and provides URL's for you to get additional information, making it a very expensive summary of questionable information that you can get for free. Common sense information is presented like it's a ground breaking new theory and has little substance behind it. And, if that wasn't bad enough, the authors of this book are fascinated with Second Life, this book talks more about Second Life than you would probably ever care to know, including how the Sex Industry works in the game.The only reason I gave this book 2 stars is because of the case studies. They are generally well thought out, informative and excellent tools for further consideration of topics. These are the only things in the book worth reading.

This was a book I bought because it was required for a course for college. It really helped with my studies.
