Nice fabric and fit

My first impression was that this was either fake cashmere or somehow low quality. The material is comfortable, but can itch a bit. After washing it once, I found it was actually very soft. To wash this, it's best to have one of those thick plastic bags for hand washing delicate clothing. I used very little soap and washed it by hand in cold water, inside out, rubbing the inside of the material against the sides of the plastic bag. Then I laid the sweater flat to dry. When it was dry it went on a hanger, but not before. I never dry clean cashmere (I have several articles of cashmere). I just hand wash it. It's a pretty minor hassle so long as you get the bag.After the wash the sweater was soft and smooth like cashmere is supposed to be. After three washes it was impressively soft. It's a simple turtleneck, and not something I normally wear, but paired with nice pants it looks pretty classy, and it's very warm.It was about right in size, but not the huge vanity sizes. If you're between sizes, go up one. If you're athletic or at least slim, order true.I saw no loose threads or other quality control problems, and expect this sweater to last for years.

I ordered this for me even though it is a man's turtleneck. I did not realize this was cashmere; I thought it was made of something called cashmeren. How stupid of me as cashmere is wool and I itch with wool. Also, this has to be dry cleaned and cannot be machine washed.Nevertheless it is not overly itchy as long as I wear something underneath. It is also exceptionally warm; in fact so warm that I kept opening the window to let some fresh cold air in. I would have given this 5 stars if it did not itch me and if I could have machine washed it.PS I am beginning to wonder if this really is 100% cashmere as my boyfriend sent me a quote on the Internet that states it should not itch. I did a Google search and found this same quote by Googling "will cashmere itch":"With wool, the itchiness is a byproduct of thr [sic] fact that it's woven sheep or goat wool fibers with loose ends. Cashmere on the other hand should not itch. It's made of goat hair, which is much finer and softer. If you have something that's cashmere that itches, it's very likely not 100% cashmere."

Classic style, this turtleneck sweater is labeled as 100 percent cashmere and it certainly is indulgently soft. This is a basic light to medium weight cashmere like I have purchased in department stores.The sweater is well-made. The finely ribbed turtleneck portion is 6 inches high so it be folded to suit the wearer. The knitted rib on the cuff and bottom edge are both 2 3/4 inches. The sizing is as expected but if wanting a looser fit order up a size.I have both the black and ivory versions and being neutrals they go with many other colors and they look good on the in house male. Note that whatever is worn underneath the ivory sweater, particularly if dark or brightly colored will show through.Fabric care instructions are to dry clean but I usually hand wash cashmere sweaters in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not twist, instead, remove excess water by pressing between two towels. Reshape and dry flat. Handsome classic style.

In this age of smallish "slim fit" clothes, it's nice to have something actually fit a man properly instead of seeming like it belongs in the boy's department. This sweater fits great in the chest, shoulders, arms and overall length. The cashmere fabric is soft and very warm despite not being a thick fabric. The sweater is stylish as a stand-alone top or when worn under a casual blazer, vest or jacket. It has to be dry cleaned or hand washed, so maintenance can require a little more effort than usual, especially with a white turtleneck. It's worth it however, because I really like the way this sweater looks and feels. It's one of my new fave night out tops.

This is a really beautiful color and a good quality cashmere. The wool is light but not see through or flimsy. I can see light through it but not details. It is good enough to be a warming layer which we are sorely in need of in Michigan during this winter. The lightweight layer is really important in multiple layering.When so many things are slim fit this year, it is refreshing to find a L that is a L. This is a L.It does say to DRY CLEAN only. My experience is that most cashmere, even the best quality, will survive the wash but not a dryer. LOL. I am more likely to use the dry cleaners on this one. Unless I forget.

The Cashmeren turtleneck sweater I received for review is a jersey type knit, meaning that it is smooth, not at all fuzzy like many cashmere sweaters. It is very lightweight, but is warm. This one, which will be perfect for my husband, is 45”, measured across the chest where the sleeve connects to the side seams, exactly the same as a sweater/jacket he wears, which is also listed as size large.It seems well made with no loose threads. It has quality set-in sleeves and collar, as one should expect in a sweater in its price range. Very nice.
