Sad story, great read...
Told through letters, pictures and postcards, In "Don't Go Where I Can't Follow" we get a glimpse into love and loss as Anders Nilsen shares with us stories and adventures he and his fiancé had before she passed away.I initially bought this book thinking it would be a good autobiographical graphic novel... But it was more than that.In fact, there was less than 20 pages of comics I think.I didn't get what I expected, I got so much more. The story was sad and heartbreaking and funny ( the unfortunate camping trip they went on left me smiling) and, though we had never met, left me with a sense that I'd known these people... If only for a brief amount of time. And really, that's more than you could ask for from a great read.Highly recommended.

Briliant
When I first ordered this book, I thought it'll be a collection of short stories with random pictures here and there, but what it is actually is a beautifully composed diary which not so much tells the full story, but rather conveys the emotion and the transition of emotions through the entire journey. By the time you've finished this book (probably 20minutes?), it would've brought a tear, a smile and finally some warmth into your heart, being reminded that we, are humans.

Pretty good, but not great.
It's pretty good! Not perfect, but good! Also, it wasn't really meant for me, it was meant for the family and friends of the depicted departed. Still, Nilsen is a great artist.

Oh my....
First time reading it, I skimmed through most of the handwritten letters, etc. Looked through most of the comics and photos. And then I got to the last comic part, and wow. Just, ouch. My heart. So.....freaking....sad.

Lovely
I really enjoyed this book. I lost my spouse around the same time that Anders lost his fiance and this book was eloquently done. I couldn't help but purchase and support Ander's and his family.

lovely heartbreaking book about love and loss
Don’t Go Where I Can’t Follow is a lovely heartbreaking book by Anders Nilsen about his relationship with his fiancee who is diagnosed with cancer. It’s more memoir and travelogue than graphic novel, a deeply moving collection of letters, photographs from a road trip, handwritten captions, journal entries, and line drawings. Expect to weep.

Amazing and heartbreaking.
Anders Nilsen's book "Don't Go Where I Can't Follow" is Amazingly touching, I picked it up after reading a review of it in the Chicago Reader and never have I been steered so right. This book is about his relationship with his lover who becomes ill and then lost to disease. Anders shows us his true feelings and anguish, I too like the other review was moved to tears, so was my wife when I lent her the book. A must read if you can find it.

Rata atrapada en su avarisia... LIBRITO EXQUISITO Y DEMOLEDOR.
Adoro a Nilsen, qué chico tan talentoso.<3
