Heavy Duty Demolition Hammer for a reasonable Price
I must admit to being wary of some tools of Chinese import. This tool is a hard working honey that gets the job done.By ordering this tool on a Thursday night, UPS had in my hands the following Monday afternoon. The tool had oil all over it. This was easy wipe off. The tool's directions are straight forward. I would advise the purchase of a quart of 40WT oil.The tool needs to oiled prior to any use. The tool was to used to remove 50 year old tile set in 1" mortar bed.Frankly the tool was a wee bit heavy and I had to take few breaks. The tool does heat up during use so this gave us both a rest. (I am 70 years and I should not have to do this type of work, but sure made a lot easier!) No problems in removing the "old school" tile and mortar bed. Operated without any problems. No oil leaks. I would advise that one keep an eye the bolts, as they have tendency to become loose during the pounding process. Allen head tools are included with the tool kit. The demolition bits are heavy duty. Note that eye, hearing and dust protection is mandatory--without fail.Would I buy it again ...Yes. Would I recommend or lend to a friend...Yes. However at this price he should be able to purchase his own demo hammer.

Bummer Bummer Bummer
I bought this puppy for a job that fell through by the time I recieved it. I used it twice for some sidewalk removal and digging in clay. One of the brushes died/cracked/broke while busting out some crete around a roughin shower drain. What gives? I've had this for 3 years with LESS than 8 hours use, and now it is trash. No parts available. 3/16 I did eventually find a set of brushes at a tool repair shop, but it appears the armature is roughly made; chewed up brushes quickly, overheated and died a hot and smoky and sparky fiery end. I am also out $60.00 for a spade that won't fit anything except this junk. NOTE; this looks like others listed with different names/colors...

Good until it broke in half
Machine seems good, oil was everywhere when I opened case and case was badly damaged but that didn't really bother me. However, after 45 minutes of use (breaking up limestone for post holes, I dug 4 in this time which is much better than just shovel and pick) the machine broke in half. I mean the case iron just came apart and I now have two pieces of a jack hammer. The vender has refunded my money and was pretty good about it. Like I said it was good until it broke.

A Great Tool For The Price
The Good:1. The product arrived early.2. It performed like a champ. I broke up several concrete post anchors in ten minutes time. I'm certain I will use it again, for concrete demolition, or just for breaking up the Arizona caliche in my yard. However, even if I never use it again, it was worth the modest cost.3. eToolsCity quickly rectified a problem with a missing manual. The Bad:1. As other reviewers have stated, both the manual and its English translation leave a lot to be desired in terms of its usefulness and ease of understanding.2. There were a couple of loose screws on the product. In fairness, the manual does state that you should check all screws before use, and periodically thereafter.3. The case is really too flimsy for such a heavy tool, particularly because there are no permanent clamps or other way of securing the tool within the case. I would never attempt to carry the tool in the case as is. I addressed this problem by using a tiedown strap from Harbor Freight, wrapping it around the case.4. Missing manual, which Customer Service rectified by sending me a link to the online manual. The Ugly:1. Nothing, really.Response to negative reviews:1. Some reviews indicated that the tool did not have oil. The manual states that the tool is shipped with a minimal amount of oil, and that it should be filled with oil prior to use. The oil arrived intact, and was further protected by enclosure in a plastic bag. There was sufficient oil provided to fill the gearbox.2. I have stated my complaint about the case above. However, some reviewers really seem to be whining about it. to them, I say: You got a heavy duty jackhammer for about the price of a good quality cordless drill; get over it.Bottom line:It is a good product for the price. If I were a professional contractor using a jackhammer on a daily, or even weekly basis, I would opt for a Hilti or a Bosch. I think it is great for a DIYer, or even for occasional or light professional use. If I had it to do over, I would buy it again.
