Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Parini Wine 75 cl (Case of 6)

I try to avoid leaving wine reviews since it's all completely a matter of personal taste and I'm certainly no expert. However, just to say I've never been disappointed by this brand. It's full and mellow, not too sweet and never sharp. Goes with everything, and good value for money. Sadly the box of six empties far too quickly: it seems no sooner am I happily greeting the delivery driver, than I'm stomping down the box for the recycling..

It is always difficult to make a wine selection 'on-line' not having the opportunity of 'tasting' in the tried and tested manner. However, in this instance following its delivery, which incidentally was most efficient, and allowing it to settle for a couple of days and gain a decent room temperature, it must be said that this Montepulciano by Parini is a delight. It is rich in colour and bright, the flavours are a mix of fruits and back tannins with an overall level of smoothness that was not expected. Ok it is unusually a bit on the sweeter side but, this does not detract and adds to the overall pleasure taken from every glass. It's a good price so give it a try, I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy.

Perfect

This is a nice soft smooth Montepulciano, not spectacular by any means. The fruit ("plum and cherry", "long lasting finish of dried fruits" in the product notes) is not quite so much present as one might like, but still a pleasant enough bottle.
