Update.Would not recomend to anyone away from home.After using for weeks and not getting any pictures, I finally got it to work. Have to leave the sd card in it or it won't keep the correct date and time. Will have to take something to download the card without taking it out of the camera.Haven't tried it in the mountains. But have used it around the house to test it.Don't like the on, off mode. Yup it's either on or off. No set up. Tie to tree, turn on and leave it.Can't set for certain number of pictures. Nor can you turn off the video function. When it triggers, it takes a 3 shot burst and a 10 second video.I put it out last week. Will check and see how I like it, and update my review.

We received our camera about three weeks ago and after the ordeal of finding the right batteries (which apparently aren't sold in the US) and then realizing we still needed an SD card, we finally got our trail cam all set up attached to our back chainlink fence and forgot about it for a few days. When we retrieved our camera we were amazed to see an amazingly clear little time-lapse of the wind blowing the trees behind our house around, a butterfly flitting by, and there were some pictures of a raccoon jumping over our neighbor's fence at night. I am very impressed with the camera and am extremely pleased with our purchase. I can see that as long as it lasts it is going to be a fun family science exploration tool.

Motion detection too sensitive. Activates any time a leaf blows in the wind, thus taking up memory card space in a matter of hours. Yet, somehow didn't manage to catch what I wanted to catch. Stopped working altogether after a few months.

I used this product to try and catch a picture of some hogs destroying the property. It didn’t take anything worth while, the hogs did come while there but probably too far to catch a picture of. The life of the camera has been good through Florida weather and pictures come of ok.

The color is coming out pink and white during the daytime. You can walk right in front of it at a slow walk and not even get a picture or video taken. I tested using it pointing through a window, but the motion detected does not work through glass, but it does record through the glass while you putting into the window sill which will trigger the motion detector, so that are the videos you get: when you put it in, and when you take it out.

This is so cheap! Had it for months now still haven't found the batteries for it! Finally found the miniature SD card for it. I can't imagine how long it will hold up once I get it outside! Now after all that to get the batteries and sd card, it doesn't work!!! Save your money! Don't buy this one!

Could not get to take pictures. Did everything that instructions said to do and could not get to work. Nowhere to put a lock to keep people from taking your sd cards or from taking your camera. Will be returning.
